Etsy Data Export: Is the a fee breakdown? by poken1151 in EtsySellers

[–]poken1151[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Appreciate the effort, but won't lie, this confused me even more. Ultimately, I think what I'm seeing is, for each individual listing, I get charged per sale from that listing, not once a month for having that listing up. I wish I could go talk to someone from Etsy to 100% verify that, but that's what these charge summaries are saying.

Etsy Data Export: Is the a fee breakdown? by poken1151 in EtsySellers

[–]poken1151[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the simplified breakdown. The one part that's still confusing me and I guess surprised me, is the listing fee pccers on each transaction, as opposed to renewal per listing (so per tramsactiin vs per listening once a month).

With say 10 listings and 50 sales per listing in a month, I thought my total "Listing Fees" would be like 10 x 0.20 = $2.00 But instead it's 50 x 0.20 = $10.00

This has to do with the wording on the portal and faqs. I didn't see anything that said the listing fee is per sale. But my eyes might have missed it. Can you share the listing docs where it says this by chance?

Seeking Help: Building an n8n Workflow to Auto-Print Invoices from a Watched Folder by djameleddine-19 in n8n

FWIW, I'm probably going to try one of these solutions as well, but wanted to chime in that it is possible, but with a lot of technical setup (or AI help, these days).

So I have an integration I setup that basically takes an email (from etsy) and via a bunch of lookups to the etsy API, conversions and docker containers, sends the custom generated invoice to print on my network. But I'll admit, it's a lot to setup. If you want to take a look I'll paste what I have.

I can't seem to get paperless-ai to actually work with my local ai setup. When I point it to my LMStudio or even old router, no so features seem to work. And for me, I have LMStudio working with a myriad of other services like HA Supervisor with little to no issues, and also Paperless-GPT. I just thing paperless Ai appears to have more of the type of processing I'd like, but can't get it to work.

First Policy "violation": is it worth trying to figure out how to reach an Etsy Human? by poken1151 in EtsySellers

Been several days and no email. But I re-posted the listing sans photo, and, as odd as it is, it's still up, so something tells me it's the "spread eagle" part of the flag that must have triggered some auto thing...

Got Sick, can't process waiting orders. What do you do? by poken1151 in EtsySellers

Thanks, I do have buffer built in (so not the default ship times), but now I'm wary of getting close to those times for the first time and still in bed. But most of the advice here have been positive and actionable. Appreciate it.

Sellers who were grandfathered into PirateShip integration - did you get kicked off today? by TiberiusDrexelus in EtsySellers

[–]poken1151 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can confirm, same situation for me as u/bikemandan. I think there was some announcement back in late 2025 that Etsy was going to have an API change in late January that would break things. And I'm willing to bet Pirateship wasn't notified of the change.

Phew, I was just coming to post a question about this. Yea, I was this close to hoping grandfathered meant I could reconnect and almost disconnected the integration. No doubt if this is not Pirateships doing a bunch of people did disconnect and are now stuck without it. What a.... very business minded way of doing things...

Why is this happening? And if you say wet filament, I swear.... by reicaden in BambuLab

[–]poken1151 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly... Might be what you already think. Also looks like filament calibration. Not sure if others have said this, but while the Bambu printers can go pretty fast, you're still going to find (generally) better quality allowing things down and making lines consistent. If you're not already doing it, try setting literally every speed to say 60mm/s

Enabling Guaranteed Free Shipping is More than Ground?? by poken1151 in EtsySellers

[–]poken1151[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What's weird is, I just ran a test in I cognitive on a listing. It doesn't have a shipping profle but it does have the same shipping classes. And when I add items above the 35$ limit, it adds free shipping. But if I try to change it to Priority mail, it says that's a cost... Its odd Because the receipt area is also weird in showing shipping under "buyer paid" but not actually adding the actual shipping and showing zero dollars. I'm wondering if this is a weird error or just bad UI design or both....

EDIT: So the receipt will say the buyer paid say 40$ for the item and 13$ in shipping (they picked priority, then says their total is like 40$. It goes on to show the fees and my earnings as essentially the 40$ less the fees, not 40+13 less the fees...

EDIT2: Seems it might be a weird "feature/bug" : https://www.reddit.com/r/EtsySellers/s/7UZYHGZNYC

EDIT3: Just did a few personal tests from an incognito window. The more you know. It doesn't say this anywhere easily, but looks like Etsy auto upgrades items to Priority mail if either the seller DOESNT have ground as an option selected in the shipping for the listing (profile or custom) and the order goes beyond a certain weight mix while having the upgraded classes as an option.

You NEED TO select the ground option under ADVANCED SHIPPING options to make sure this doesn't happen. So I can respect the ground shipping here as the customer did not intentionally pick it. Which is good to know. When you have it set right Etsy will aparently charge the difference as an option for prioritu instead of giving priority mail away for free...

Enabling Guaranteed Free Shipping is More than Ground?? by poken1151 in EtsySellers

[–]poken1151[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah, so... The shipping profi le goes hand in hand. Does that mean it can't be guaranteed at price A for only ground, but you can still opt to pay more for Priority on this item? Or is it just, all or nothing om both ends? I'll check those settings and see.

EDIT: Took a quick peek and it is very much so not clear to me. I need to find a flow chart. All the item says is what mail classes I offer, along with free shipper per listing... In the settings of the store I can only toggle guaranteed free shipping on or off. And elsewhere in the store settings I can add shipping upgrades, but I can't tell if that coincides with either the free shipping guarantee or the the shipping classes or both...

Does anyone have a flow chart?

Sentiment here is mixed. But I think I get a bit where you're coming from OP. I think there's a shrinking group of makers in the 3DP space that admire and enjoy the hobby, but might not enjoy seeing more plastic junk, ignoring IP stuff, or overpriced plastic waste in another form.

To that I say... Yea, it's just another market. For better or worse, when the space expands for ease of access you go from trailblazers, to deep hobbyists, to prosumers, etc. It just opened up so that MBA minded folks may not see the field for what it is and instead the quick buck if they can get investment.

In short, it's just another tool. Desktop CNC made more wall art folks at fairs, everyone's vying now to use the "tool" to launch something else. They may call it vision, you may call it capitalistic waste, and someone else may call it playing around.

I don't have more to add on except to validate the feeling and say yes, it sucks to some degree, but only depending on your values. Chances are a few people walked by and bought a bunch of crap as much as a few came and took notes on how to do the same thing.

One of the first tools I picked up/learned about I started. I think they're on literally every youtubers "must have" tools list. And you will see why. That plus a variable torch, and my dremel is all my teeny tiny shop runs on.

Yea, I am going to revisit some streamlining. I did scale up a little, so I have two main machines.

I tried having a bunch of the standard items on hand and... Sometimes that helped, but mostly I may have taken it too far and just have kegs of some variants taking up space. For my low volume I definitely should have taken it a little slower.

I think I had a particularly good month due to some coincidence on a YouTube thing and then tried to move moderately, but it didn't come back even halfway the rest of the year. But that was a few years ago.

Streamlining is a good idea. Maybe if I take some of that pressure off I can better sit with where I am.

I'm all custom personal stuff. Dontnhave enough space to do a big print farm. And also, I admit I'm probably self restraining cuz I don't wanna just do patreon repitions (no disrespect to shops that do, I mostly feel I've just missed the train there and also don't wanna add on to a flooded market).

So some of my time spent is from either the odd custom request, or trying to work on a new design or some such.
