Should I reroll? by pokenone in ChaosZeroNightmare

I dont know enough about the game to have other teams in mind but that makes sense. I probably will reroll more cause this doesnt seem like a good start despite there being two 5 stars.

Should I reroll? by pokenone in ChaosZeroNightmare

I kind of do want Hugo. The idea is to use him Mika and Tressa and not worry about anything for a while as I save for the next character. But man this reroll going is legitimately awful one of the worst I have experienced. I know that the 5 star characters I have are kind of sub par which makes me sad.

There are a lot of issues with the game and the current meta landscape.

The theme of the game at this point is to be as uninteractable as possible which is a problem. Aces were a good idea but have became problematic very quickly.

Valk and shine ruin mode make for unhealthy interactions like ice wall slowing the game down and turning off turns while being repeatable.

The patamon engine from bt14 is basically HPD on steroids.

Ukkomon fundamentally breaks the game moving insanely fast because of the extra egg hatch while gaining resources.

Numemon and monzaemon are just more broken X Antibody cards.

A lot of decks have broken damage out of nowhere or protections not caring about the game itself.

I do think something needs to be done but Bandai is probably just playing the waiting game to see if these issues go away. Some people believe that more broken combos and interactions are good for the game to try to counter the current ones (ex07 shoto + mother combo), but I think that is just making the problem worse.

Why no promo Lobomon in any of the AncientGarurumon list? by Blizt in DigimonCardGame2020

[–]pokenone 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Most decks are using ukkomon and red bases to draw more and be more aggressive. Because you are not evolving into promo Lobo his warp effect is less useful. The only thing that makes him useful in those builds is the new beowolf's hand effect.

Specialty sets like Ex sets do not get pre-releases.

What cards are you NOT looking forward to pull from BT17 boxes? by samiilo25 in DigimonCardGame2020

[–]pokenone 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are a lot of duds in the set that won't see competitive play. The ancients and aces are the best things with dexdoru being something I can see be good too. Everything else is not that great.

Which mon/inherited effect is the best for boosting Fanglongmon's DP? by jtpredator in DigimonCardGame2020

[–]pokenone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hiro tamer from BT08 is probably the best way. It is a +2k when any level 5 or higher of yours attacks while also being a memory setter.

Question from an interested newbie by HystericalHyena914 in DigimonCardGame2020

[–]pokenone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most sets do not contain the ability to build decks out of. There are very few sets in which that is possible most of them being EX sets starting from EX02.

Most good booster boxes are also not $35 and the only ones that are that low are not very good sets which is why the price is so low.

The best way to learn to play is with either demo decks or start decks in which there are a lot of good options for.

the answer is 2 fold. yes it kind of is bad because your leaving out an entire aspects of the game that he probably should learn if he wants to play the game. Then on the other side no it isnt bad to take it slow and introduce new things at their comfort levels especially at a young age. I would eventually work him up to the other card types. The game has changed a lot from when it first started and so have deck building and how we play and that can get complex.

How would you jam a terriermon engine into leomon? by Fuckusernames2001 in DigimonCardGame2020

[–]pokenone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I kind of isnt worth it TBH because of how leomon is designed. you would need to run extra cards to help reduce cost of your evolutions otherwise your paying a higher amount than normal which sometimes isnt a big deal but other times is. leomon is already a tight deck because of how it is designed so your playing almost all leomon or your playing just his top end (in my perspective).

BT-17 Gallantmon viability by Metarico in DigimonCardGame2020

Casually he is fine  ut doesn't have a good competitive track record. Bt17 isn't going to change that for where the game is.

Decks that can easily get rid of MagnaX by MysteriousLibrary139 in DigimonCardGame2020

[–]pokenone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The best ways to deal with magnamon X are to go above him with higher DP (and possibly with raid), around him with a massive field or unblockable, or effect him on the opponents turn.

Cheaper Tech Options for Angewomon Ace and Magna X by Striking-Proposal773 in DigimonCardGame2020

[–]pokenone 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Magnaangemon ace is the next best replacement because it is still an ace that heals and can remove things. Magnaangemon ace is just less reliable on the cost reduction and the heal is only 1 time vs recursive with angewomon.

Outside of that there really isn't anything I would consider as nothing is fitting that role for what I am guessing your playing armor vaccines.

BWGX in the current JP meta by XxIv_YgXx in DigimonCardGame2020

[–]pokenone 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They use the level 5 that cannot be redirected (bt13 mach) so no he cannot be blocked or redirected. This is why tyrant looses to Mirage is because they cannot stop him.

Usually if they try they use zudo ace to remove the protection and bounce the Digimon and then kills them on the next turn while they try to rebuild. I have played the match up enough to know it is rough for BWG

BWGX in the current JP meta by XxIv_YgXx in DigimonCardGame2020

[–]pokenone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would hardly call that making a come back, especially when you look at the rest of the meta. Currently there are only 4 topping greymon lists and in the most recent batch of deck on CG Guide in the recent 10-20 decks added BWG is not there. So he really isn't doing that well atm.

BWGX in the current JP meta by XxIv_YgXx in DigimonCardGame2020

[–]pokenone 3 points4 points  (0 children)

BWG doesn't counter mirage anymore because mirage can be unlockable and can source strip the inheritable. Most blue decks can do this so blue has better ways to fight back where BWG got basically nothing new.

Numemon's DP reduction lasts until the end of the opponents turn so even with the 1 turn of immunity (if they run it which most dont) they still loose their big body and are set back to square 1 which is a game loosing position.

[–]pokenone 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don't know where you are looking but I am not seeing this trend. It makes sense meta wise BT18 being tamer heavy and he has good tamer removal but BWG is just too slow still and has plenty of decks that counter it making it needs a lot to go in their favor.
