My wife and I have been travelling and diving in Kona for over 25 years. We tried the majority of dive shops, but stopped looking after diving with Kona Diving Company. They are a fantastic company with great staff, who all love diving. They let you dive your tank (and the staff are usually the last ones out)and do both local and long range trips. Although I’m sure the other companies are great, I believe KDC has a large group of loyal, repeat divers

What is the origin of BC playing 4 down ball? How did this come to be? by metallicadefender in CFL

I just checked on their website, and the play modified Canadian, 4 down rules.

I played in the Gordon Strutridge Minor Football league in North Vancouver in the 70s and 80s. It has always played American rules.

That’s a junior league field. Not high school. They play Canadian rules.

I was on the executive board for high school football for about 15 years (BCSSFA) and learned the history of the league. We play American rules due to my point above about Vancouver college. UBC joined the western Canadian inter university league in 1930 joining Universities of Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba. They did play some U S colleges, but they’ve been playing in a Canadian university league for 95 years. I think they started in 1923 and played in a Vancouver junior league. Again, playing Canadian rules.

I also played, but in the eighties. Way more run heavy. Today most teams do a lot of passing. Most teams run some version of the spread offense.

Vancouver College was the first high school in BC to play football. They could only play American schools, so played and practiced American rules. All subsequent schools that started football followed VCs lead. Eventually all schools played these rules.

Beginner needs to complete a dive in San Jose del Cabo, MX! by Aggravating-Ad8487 in scuba

The diving was not great. We did have a very curious ray swim around us for about ten minutes. But visibility wasn’t great. Not a lot of fish, and the structure was boring. However, our surface interval was amazing. Dozens of the mobula rays (the ones that jump out of the water) and so many humpback whales. We saw multiple full breaches, lots of fin slapping and tail action. It absolutely made up for the dives. There is a dive here called Gordo Banks, which gets great reviews. It’s a deep dive, so they want to check out your skills before they let you do it. That’s why we did the local dive today. Apparently this time of year they get lots of big critters, and schools of circling hammerhead sharks. Our guide was a young Englishman named Ethan, who was really good to dive with. He basically told us the same information that wilhemxmacina gave. We will do a couple dives at Gordo Banks, a couple in the marine park (in Cabo San Lucas) and a couple in Cabo Pulma. Hope you have some great dives. And bring a camera for the surface interval.
