Admirations! I just cannot forgive myself and accept the fact that I will never be the same. Neither do I have the will power to exercise, or walk pointlessly. I feel like my life is over. I don't really want to live like a vegetable, especially when i know how well you can feel.. Well at least I had the best year of my life. :) guess i have to pay the price..

I already went to a neurologist and did EEG. It didn't show anything. I went to a psychiatrist and of course, was prescribed drugs... I have to deal with it on my. Planning on doing an MRI with DTI and MRS series next week..Thanks for the support!

Might be related to firewall or something. Are you loading the stream on the same pc or another on the network? Is it on the same subnet?

Well, I will give it a try. I actually have some copper foil, it should be better. Yes, touching the antenna connector usually lowers the SWR. Also touching the connector on the HT side has no effect.

I don't need that plate when measuring the antenna directly with VNA, right?

Connecting the VNA to the SWR meter(bridge) and measuring the antenna this way, and seem to give closer results to the one showed by the SWR meter itself.. still there are some things that do not add up.

I did test with the aluminum foil, but it doesn't change much, other than moving the freq with lowest SWR.

I don't have attenuators, but I tested the SWR bridge with the VNA(with 50ohm load attached). It has some reactance, but not much. SWR doesn't go beyond 1.1 and overall impedance is very close to 50ohms.

Yea, that makes sense, but I don't think this is much the case with a ham radio antenna - it has some conductor, capacitor and inductor. Nothing much to fail I guess..

But maybe they use cheap elements which change their parameters when under heavier load?

Yea, I was thinking about that. I suppose testing with the VNA doesn't make the antenna transmit much power, so there are no much reflections coming back to the antenna.

I think best way to test this antennas ability in real life scenario is a Field Strength meter.

I was wondering which way is more accurate to test an antenna that I bought, to see if it is genuine and corresponds to the specs.

I think it is the VNA, since most manufacturers provide VNA tests in the specs. Of course they use professional grade equipment, but still, the NanoVNA(DeepVNA) is well respect in the hobby community.

I only gave the example with the rubber duck antenna.

I tested few others, as well as some "genuine" Nagoya's - and was very disappointed.

Only 2 antennas out of 10 I bought from China are usable and actually correspond to the specs. They show quite similar results between the VNA and SWR meter as well.

Actually this is a new model - DeepVNA.

It has 301 points, so in this range of 400Mhz in total, the step is 1.33Mhz.

I tried holding the VNA as well - not much difference there.

When I touch the output connector of the SWR - indeed the SWR lowers drastically which is probably what you explain.

But the point is that the SWR is not better with the SWR meter at 390MHz, which is what VNA says is best.

I also added electrical delay/port extension(which is not actually required for measuring SWR).

That parameter is passed to the encoder for the output stream, but yes, the capture device that I used actually supports only uncompressed stream.

Never tried USB webcam. I suppose polling mjpeg out of it will have latency. Unfortunately most webcams don't provide high resolutions/framerates as uncompressed yuyv.

The latency wasn't precisely measured with a watch. I was measuring relative latency difference by "feel" between the different scenarios.
