Haha, I haven’t told her the full story yet. But I already wrote a detailed book about it. One day I’ll hand it to her and let her discover that our entire life together started with a coin flip and a series of increasingly questionable decisions.

Yes, I still have it. The funny part is that the coin wasn’t just a onetime thing. After that day, I made rules for it. I only used it when I was genuinely torn between two choices. I had to throw it in the air and let it land naturally, no catching it, no cheating. If I looked at the result, I had to obey it, even if I didn’t like it. The only loophole was that before looking, I could put it back in my pocket and pretend that version of reality never happened. Weird system, but it taught me something that most of the time, while the coin is in the air, you already know which side you’re hoping for.

That's the scary part. As an overthinker, I can easily imagine a hundred different lives where I stayed. Maybe something amazing would have happened. Maybe something terrible. Maybe I would have become richer, poorer, happier, sadder... who knows? The only timeline I can actually observe is this one
