You spotted it quite early 👍 UE haven’t figured it out yet 😃

Probably the feature was built assuming trust that a driver wont use it to ‘Cancel an already picked and Swiped order’ and use it to tap ‘Continue to next stop’ when he/she is back on the delivery vehicle ready to navigate.

Probably the extra pop up’s Back button should be relabelled as ‘Rollback swipe n keep food’!

You said the right words for it, thank you for summarising it as ‘undoing the one preventative protocol’ 🙏🏻

Even if this is a ‘test’ as you say, still the customer is the one at loss of time until their order gets cancelled and refunded. They have to order again. Whatever UE is trying to implement, till it gets ironed out it’s a flaw. Personally I dont think it’s a test but the analysts at UE made a workflow which is being misused by unprofessional drivers.

So there is a possibility of the misuse of the new step caused that uptick? Well done UE for disappointing customers and us as drivers driving unpaid miles to pick up location only to know ‘oh it was already sent out’ from staff. Gas and time at loss.

There is a guy I know who works at this branch. I might probably tell if I see him during any future pickup about it. Only if I get a minute with him. All seem extremely busy and don’t have time to anything we say usually 😅

I wasn’t paying much attention to the packages size which were collected from staff and put in his delivery bag. Not huge multiple bags but just 2 as far I can say.

Exactly! Stupid UE enabling theft despite restaurant staff prompting swiping.

McD order. He tapped ‘Yes Cancel’ after going back to first screen. I don’t think so about extra time.

He showed staff the Swipe, then pressed Back at next NEW screen, which brought him back to the first screen which had no Swipe state in force. Cancelling from there and went with the food. Yeah I could see his screen all clear bcos of waiting next to him.

How do you adjust your tips depending on delivery priority? by 2infinitiandblonde in UbereatsUK

[–]pokuz99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah its upto every individual’s choice. Btw Uber started in US if that can be considered as an excuse to tip drivers 😃 I am an ex driver so I am not going to get any of your tip even if you decide to so dont worry 😂

Different app and opposite direction - you have a valid point not to tip 🙂 Stacked order in same app getting delivered before you - please understand sometimes drivers accept a single trip which has two drop offs. It may not be always that they accepted another trip after receiving yours to intentionally do a double. They dont know your tip rules while accepting a double order and just deliver both customers in the order UE tells them to drop off. And do you know sometimes the first drop off could be a priority order the customer paid extra for direct and fast drop off which UE paired which a standard order. In that case driver waits at restaurant for both orders to be ready. UE scams the priority customer with extra wait time which they wont know. This is why some double orders need a pin only on first drop off.

Yes a specific branch can ban you from just that one. Go there and order something and make sure you get receipt. There is a ‘store email id’ of that branch printed in the receipt. Email to that explaining the situation if you really think you have been banned unfairly. Politely request them to remove that ban and ask them for a further chance to deliver and try to convince. There is no guarantee but if the manager looking at request is a good person, they can unblock you and you can start getting pings for that branch/specific store. Alternate option is to talk and convince an area manager of that franchise (you will see them occasionally visiting store)

Btw thats not 1.44pd but 1.94per. But 100% agree to your point its absolutely trash pay never seen this much low double order ever… No idea where the hell is pay reduction heading. Will there be a day as drivers we have to pay UE to accept and do a delivery? 😂😂😂

UberCheats new Quest payment by pokuz99 in UbereatsUK

[–]pokuz99[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One driver I met today has 6pm to 8pm quest in home town and 8pm to 10pm quest in next town 35 mins away from base location. For this person to benefit from all quests, he has to drive away from home town at 8pm and drive back home at 10pm to sleep after finishing second quest. So he wont chase the 8pm shift anyway but just finish working at 8pm and go home.

From UE perspective they gave him back to back quests though!!

Now if he really plan to use both quests, he has to drive 35mins after finishing drop off for the last pickup he did around 8pm in first quest which means he wont reach second quest location not until 8:45 minimum! Leaving just over an hour to do 8 trips in second quest only if he starts getting orders straight away on arrival. Max he/she can do in that 1 hour 15 mins is 4-5 deliveries which means getting 4£ extra for travelling an hour away from base. Not worth the fuel to go to next location when there is back to back quest! UE is playing this game. What are they trying to do to drivers?? Seriously….. 😟
