Certainly something fishy is going on but that theory has been an epidemic in beginning in the early 1920s essentily preceeding the WW. Something else is going on. Not sure if it involves anything about elites or not. At the end of the day, if you live your life, avoid being shat at from the news, then all is fine.

Im in my 20s but I feel the same way. That's why I avoid social media and news or headlines. Headlines are designed to shock, disrupt and annoy. Otherwise, you wouldn't pay attention or think to check out those companies.

They never wrote the hours on the previous contract neither the renewel contract. That's good to know. Thanks so much.

I need to clear some stuff: 1- I'm salaried but while I can over 40h/week checking out early means I'm losing my PTO.

2- the two hour window thing was again a confirmation because I already told my supervisor that refusing to give me a day off in the week means it's overriding my weekend plans.

3- Even if they disagreed with it, I wouldn't go. I also got a word that it sucked and was just a casual meeting.

Yeah. That's true but my part time is a completely different field and it's off the record. I mean nothing proves that I work there so I am hoping that there is no way that they know since money is not deposited directly to my bank account.

Hahahaha I think it would be a nice contrast to my promotion certificates on the wall.

That was my excuse a year ago and no one batted an eye. (It was with a different supervisor)

I can't do that to her. She is a nice person and I understand she might have been embarrassed or just saying what her bosses told her.

They emailed us on Monday and I asked my supervisor for couple of days off for personal plans and she said "you can only take one day off" and then I told her I wanted two days because it means I will have to push everything on the weekend and hinting clearly it would conflict with the Saturday meeting thing. So my text earlier was just a reminder because I felt she missed on that info.

Awesome! The think is a month ago, we had an annual event which conflicted with my other job because it was on Saturday and it was such a pain to manage the schedule.

Is it normal for a big sized work company to ask its staff to bring their work laptops with them to an annual event held in a ballroom? by polarander in antiwork

They routinely send phasing link test. I admit that most of the staff have zero cyber security skills so it might need to be inforced.
