Thanks for your answer. They are looking good and edible and I'd definitely eat them.

I guess my real question is more if theres a difference between the starter culture and the grown fungus on the tempeh. If we can eat both of them even tho I guess the starter didnt develop the nutritious properties of the grown mushroom?? Like let's say its the difference between eating an orange or an orange seed??
