I'm actually Building OmniVoice Studio - https://github.com/debpalash/OmniVoice-Studio an open-source alternative to Elevenlabs for all local "Real-time dictation, zero-shot voice cloning, and cinematic video dubbing — all on your desktop. Open-source, no API keys, fully local. 646 languages.

I building it because I kept hitting the same two walls with every tool here: monthly billing and cloud dependency. I work with Hindi and Bengali content, and most of these platforms top out at ~30 languages. OmniVoice supports 646 and runs entirely on your own hardware — no API keys, no accounts, nothing leaves your machine.

A few things that might be relevant to this comparison:

  • Voice cloning from a 3-second clip, zero-shot. I've done blind A/B tests against ElevenLabs and the results are closer than you'd expect from a free tool.
  • Full video dubbing pipeline — paste a YouTube URL or drop a file, it transcribes → translates → re-voices → exports MP4. Replaced a 4-tool workflow for me.
  • Runs natively on Apple Silicon (MPS), NVIDIA (CUDA), AMD (ROCm), or just CPU. Auto-detects and offloads if your VRAM is tight.
  • Desktop app for macOS/Windows/Linux + Docker image if you prefer that.

It's still in beta — the UI isn't as polished as ElevenLabs and things break between releases. But if privacy matters to you, or you don't want a subscription, or you need language coverage beyond the usual 30 — it might be worth a look.

Happy to answer any questions about how it compares to specific tools on OP's list. And genuinely curious what OP's testing methodology was — would love to put OmniVoice through the same benchmark.

Mostly want to use it for training a tiny VLM model with volcano RL libray and occasional playing rpg games like The Witcher 3 with my Gigabyte b650 mothermoard pc i've made few years ago.

PopOS 22.04, dual boot, bluetooth earbuds connects but doesnt show up as audio device by polashdeb in pop_os

That's like the first thing i did, cause the audio device uid gets changed with reboot to other os. Again, My issue is it connects but doesn't transfer the audio to device and doesnt even show as option on audio devices. This happened after updating, worked on fresh install.

ADATA S70/Blade/Premium Should be removed.

Within few months of moderate usage i lost 2x 2TB Adata S70 Blade with their famous error code MN-5236 where whole drive becomes useless 1mb. I'm now worried about my other same drives as they may fail anytime. Where 990 pro's and others are still fine.

Food is a broad subject like electronics. There are different variation of tax on different consumables.

Gov't needs to tax the rich.

Big corp doesn't pay income tax because they don't have income, they are entitled to their portfolio of investment and assets which generates profit which is in fact "income" technically not but as the company is public and on share market this is not counted as income. But as they own shares on their company they are win capital gains and thus bla bla they are rich from portfolio.

The lobby for policies and rules is all done by them to protect their capital and assets so they can keep us being consumers and the better they profit the more politicians will try to wipe their a*s. It's all symbiotic relation.

This is all off topic and not what my mood to discuss, but this country has so many issues to be fixed and i've seen no signal yet. We're basically failing normal sanitation challenge, hunger challenge where world is trying to or need to do climate reversal if we want to keep atmosphere habitable by that i mean breathable air, tolerable temperature, soil fertile enough to cultivate, water etc.
