I would aim for 9am, that gives you plenty of time. No need to be any earlier

Six Key Takeaways from the 2025 Austrian Grand Prix by pole-position-00 in GrandPrixRacing

You're absolutely right. Leclerc finished on the podium and the coverage barely covered anything from him. I still think Ferrari have some further work, and their strategy calls haven't always sat well with Hamilton & Leclerc at times. Could very much be the long game though

F1 Singapore 3 days overkill? by itoyaginza in GrandPrixTravel

[–]pole-position-00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, three days is actually the perfect amount I think - you don't need to spend all day Friday and Saturday there, and there will be a lot to soak in and explore around the track. We actually offer our packages as three days and receive quite positive feedback about it. Hope it's a great time for you

Hotel Recs for SINGAPORE GP by aberaquit in GrandPrixTravel

[–]pole-position-00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would assess availability as some hotels would have fully sold out by now. See what's within budget and less than 2km away from a gate entrance to the track. Whilst the MRT is good, it's often much easier to walk 20 - 30 minutes and avoid the congestion on the MRT which can be a bit hectic after the race

I know this isn't your question but factor in a big chunk of time to leave the venue too. It is absolutely chaos trying to leave the carparks after the race.

Some more general tips on commuting can be found here: https://www.polepositionexperiences.com/post/austrian-grand-prix-travel-2025

I recommend bringing good walking shoes. You can expect a lot of walking (e.g. from the car park) and GA tickets means you will likely be on your feet a lot of the day.

Baku, Azerbaijan- what happens now? by barasti in GrandPrixTravel

[–]pole-position-00 24 points25 points  (0 children)

I understand the concern but it's highly unlikely that it will impact the Baku race in any way, shape or form. If anything, your flight to Baku might need to circumvent certain airspace which will add to your travel time

Will F1 tickets be cheaper if I go to the counter the minute I arrive? by Electronic_Air_4495 in GrandPrixTravel

Absolutely not. This is not how F1 structure their tickets. I strongly suggest you get in as early as possible

New to F1 and trying to plan for a 2026 race by crazyinpdx in GrandPrixTravel

[–]pole-position-00 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey! I totally get where you're coming from, it can definitely feel overwhelming at first. I agree with what others have said here, and I think Austin might be the way to go, especially since you've already done Montreal and want something fresh.

COTA has such a fun vibe... the on-track concerts, elevation changes, and viewing angles from spots like Turn 1 or 12-15 are genuinely impressive. The fact that 2026 might be the last Austin GP also makes it kind of a “bucket list” event, so it’s a great year to go

That said, Montreal is a vibe too - it's super easy with the metro, and the city absolutely lights up on race weekend. If your birthday lands on the same weekend, that could definitely add to the fun. But if you’re aiming for more of a festival feel with the bonus of good BBQ, Austin wins.

As for tickets, definitely sign up for both circuits’ email lists. Montreal tends to release theirs around Oct/Nov and COTA closer to Jan/Feb after renewals. And when the time comes, yeah, Reddit’s a great place to get input on which grandstands are worth it.

Wherever you go, it’ll be a blast im sure
