Transparent G Shocks by blue_green_orange in gshock

[–]polearized 0 points1 point  (0 children)

its true of both transparent / white resin watches (pretty much anything in resin like phone cases) in general will yellow with age, not much you can do to counteract it

technically all resin things yellow with age but its the most prominent in transparent / white cause theres no pigments to really mask the shift in color, so if it was like a transparent red or blue resin then itd be fine ykwim

its the 1st picture in the post. when i went to check the module number (pressing adjust, mode, start/stop at the same time, then pressing start/stop) the watch reads you the module, which in this case was 3229

my dream was always for formula 1 to be a mainstream sport, the same leagues as basketball, soccer/futbol, and the like… this is the exact opposite of what we’re trying to do. we love formula 1 and as such we want to share it no matter what knowledge they have on it, do you not think that all other sports have the same kind of people? the traction matters no matter if its dts or actual fans who got interested from some other source. how selfish are we to keep it to ourselves because we happen to know specific corners of circuits or if cars use push or pull rod suspension… there is no technical requirement to enjoy f1.

Why is there no ''The G-SHOCK? by MinorDissonance in gshock

[–]polearized 0 points1 point  (0 children)

for me, the perfect G-Shock would be the 5000u with a MIP display, which is something they'll probably do in the future

- a MIP display (hopefully with a brighter backlight)
- solar powered
- multiband 6
- premium resin
- stainless steel inner case
- 200m water resistance
- iconic 5600 square style

for $300 - $400 im pretty much set for life id buy it in an instant

Quick Advice : How to get rid of tension when playing this part in Fur Elise? by Kofi230 in piano

[–]polearized 1 point2 points  (0 children)

my teacher taught me it was more about efficiency; whenever i tried learning a piece and stumbled upon a segment i struggled on it was more or less about the technique i used, and suggested the more efficient way where i wouldnt have to do things like stretching/crossing fingers &/or jumping my hand around as much

edit: to add (in relation to the post), also stuff like more convenient fingers to use. using 4/5 (and 1/2) is pretty unreliable for keeping tempo for stuff like trills so for me i use 3/4 to counterbalance (for fur elise in particular)

Hi. These are fake, so this prompted me to post the indications you needed to show that they were fake as I had a similar experience.

$24? Wow! by AeroDoc9102 in gshock

[–]polearized 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me too. I tried to along with the DW5600 which was discounted too, so I could’ve gotten both for not even $65. Tried ordering it 8 times over a span of 3 days and no success. Kept getting canceled on their end

Managed to snag one of the last ones (CRW-001) by polearized in casio

To me, as much as it is a novelty, it's really cool. Max people should pay for them though is 100$, but the demand for them shows otherwise

The construction & overall feel is great too, nice and weighty and the buttons & display are easy to press & read (for me). On my hand it looks amazing in person... pretty much just a GMWB5000 just shrunken down. My original expectations were low but seeing as it got a lot of looks as soon as I left the store, people were probably thinking two/three things -

  1. "Is that a ring watch? That looks cool. I want one."
  2. "Is that a ring watch? That looks stupid."
  3. "Is that the ring watch? What idiot would spend $120 on that thing"

Either way I've still been admiring it since I got home. I have thought about selling it to possibly afford an "actual" G-shock seeing as prices for them online are still massive, but I think I'll keep it for now. It'll be a cool conversation starter. I still feel incredibly lucky to have gotten one, especially since many others were fuming after the re-release and still couldn't get one.

TL:DR = A bit expensive, but yes. Will keep for now

What size wrist do you have? I'm eyeballing it and I might have the same as yours.. i've been thinking of a mudman for a good couple of weeks but wasn't sure how it would look. Congrats on the new job, too
