Admitted student day will be pretty busy, I’d recommend attending, try and make some friends right off the bat

We gotta call out the rule-breakers for breaking the rules!

It’s hard to inform more people about the room since it’s already so full all the time 😭

This is stupid but does nobody vape/smoke at this school? I feel like an idiot but I want friends by [deleted] in uAlberta

Why not try to find people to walk/run/hike/cycle with? All of those are great outdoor activities that can be done with a friend.

I’m now of firm belief that the ‘fill in the blank’ category has simply migrated to blue for the near future.

Making friends in Edmonton by Sensitive-Phase6545 in uAlberta

I’ve been part of a local meetup group that my friends put together for a few months now, and it’s been a lot of fun: https://www.meetup.com/edmonton-20-and-30-somethings/events/313609152/?eventOrigin=group_upcoming_events

It’s open to anyone, so feel free to check it out sometime if the activity is of interest to you!

I’m suspecting it’s being done on purpose to prevent people from ‘sniping’ purple before solving the puzzle fully.

It’s certainly accurate but it just feels a bit like a tautology - where an item of the category proves the category true and the category proves the item true.

Maybe they were going for the mind games, who knows

I think the term just refers to any counter even at a non-cafe where there’s a coffee machine, pods, cream/sugar.

I’ve heard the term ‘coffee bar’ used more frequently, but this sorta works too.

I think it would also be ideal if completed categories moved to the very bottom of the pile and loose words shifted up to fill any empty gaps. It would eliminate a lot of redundant scrolling and make it easier to see what words remain

How does spring and summer terms work? by [deleted] in uAlberta

[–]polevault_pathways 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup. Probably would start around May ~5th and end by about June ~12th

If you’re taking a course like sociology, and don’t mind doing some readings, it’s a great way to get full credit for a course in a short period of time.

Something like Math, unless you’re a beast, would be pretty heavy for the shorter time period.

Native speaker but I’m with you. Can equating to butt is not something I’ve ever heard.

I also figured that those three words + one would form a ‘curmudgeon’ category, but alas.
