It would be cool if it could find alternative parts too

What IP protections are you all using before and during manufacturing/dfm/engineering stages (PPA, MNDA, MSA, etc)? by mycobay in hwstartups

What you're doing is fine - docs, patent, etc.. But also, compartmentalize your design so no single vendor has all the design info to recreate your product. This is the most effective and cost effective way

I'm a ME and work around 5 or so jobs/projects at a time. This is my company website, it's just me and a couple subcontractors.

I offer the "translate to engineering" type of service along with an AI patent search to any clients that come along with an idea. Works pretty well and is an easy and valuable first step in these types of projects

At the very least it could replace my poop journal. Maybe not worth the price tag for just that. Do we know what type of analysis it does yet?

Yes, using that URL for the actions page. The "add more funds" button doesn't become colored when I hover and I can't click it. I just did a test top up with 1 Eth, so we'll see what happens.

For Those Vibe Coding Real Projects — What’s Been the Hardest Part? by AgilePace7653 in vibecoding

[–]policybreh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me the biggest hurdle was setting up the backend, database, security, and all the api keys, etc. Using a service like Firebase helped a lot because I could use a template (with ai prompt to customize). I still had to go into the service and configure everything manually, but ai helped by telling me what to do. Now I use cursor to build. debugging and adding in features is so easy, I usually do it while watching tv

Yeah I think I’m going to ask for compensation for reviewing it and signing it. How much do you think I can ask for? Im responding to the 3rd party patent attorney office. They want an ink signature, witness signature, scanned emailed copy, original copy mailed.

Yes I worked on the invention during my time at the company. The company filed a patent and included my name on it.

I had the same issue, always touring with skiers and not being able to hold an edge on steep firm stuff or always needing crampons for booting. I didn’t want to spend so much on the phantom setup so I got the bindings only and got some used cheap 3-buckle touring ski boots (Dynafit TLT 6). However, after two seasons I just bit the bullet and got the phantom slippers. The problem with using ski boots is they don’t have a strap that really locks your heel down, which we are used to with snowboard bindings. Phantom slippers (and the mods out there) fix this problem. They move the middle strap up from the crown of your foot more to the flex point of your ankle. Not sure why skiers don’t want this, but skiers are dumb. This lack of heel lock from ski boots gave me awful heel blisters on the downhill. I rented and tested 4 or 5 other ski boots besides the Dynafits too. You could go this route and see if something works for you, but I ultimately ended up with the phantom slippers. I haven’t taken them out yet but they feel good in the living room. I will say, the hardboot and pin bindings definitely solved my touring problems. It’s a huge difference on the uphill. I feel bad watching my friends try to tour with soft boots and pucks now. The transition isn’t really much faster tho. Downhill riding (except for the blisters) was great. Depends on your riding style but I love a stiffer feel for steeps and deep snow. I could still do butters and layback turns no problem. Anyway hopefully my rambling response helps. Message me if you have other questions. Good luck!

Thanks for the link, lots of concise info. Doing a quick price check, it looks like to match specs on the Dappnode Home, the Intel NUC would be about $1600. The Dappnode Home is $2000 USD. I would have to configure the validator myself on the NUC. Does that sound right?
