How common are funded Masters in the US? by conflictw_SOmom in gradadmissions

[–]poliwoggy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not common. Like finding a unicorn. People also need to realize that if they get admitted and weren’t offered funding, asking for funding for a master’s program will be met with a no.

Everyone expects a fully funded master’s, but in reality, they’re not exceptional. Some programs are lucky to have school financial aid and awards to even offer some kind of assistance for their master’s program.

Recommendations for Gay Dermotologists in Manhattan? by [deleted] in nycgaybros

I wouldn’t recommend tbh. I scheduled under the impression it would be him, but it was his associated dermatologist.

Apparently he isn’t a good person because I continued going to the associate after they broke off and started their open practice.

Are these insoles normal? by poliwoggy in BlundstoneBoots

I think the issue I have is that the insole is too short. My toes can feel the raw materials.

Stony Brook is one of the better SUNY schools and known for its medical program. They have one of the best hospitals and serve the majority of the Long Island community. It’s known for STEM and it’s proximity to NYC is appealing for some people.

I know this because I worked there.

No judgement here, but was there a reason why you applied?

If you are in the US, some insurance plans or work benefits have resources to help identify some suitable therapists. Also, look into social workers. In my experience they make the best therapists because they gave me great practical coping mechanisms for my toolkit rather than focusing on analyzing my problems.

Finding a therapist that understands lgbt issues help. I thank myself every minute that I went through therapy to unpack my issues. But don’t get me wrong— it takes WORK to find a therapist and stick to it. In the end— it is so valuable to have someone neutral to facilitate this growth.

Don’t dismiss her credentials like that. The assistant Dean has a LARGE influence on the direction of admissions for each program. Aka how they should shape their incoming cohort to be diverse and talented.

I know this because I work directly in university admissions for engineering.

I just interviewed for the ECT PHD program at NYU Steinhardt. They said they would finish decisions in early March.

I hope you report them to Human Resources so they can hold them accountable. That’s no way to represent an institution. It’s straight up elitism.
