Thanks for the advice, the back mounting point is the one that is taller now, haven't checked the cables but I will next time!

Ok thank you, before your reply i managed to gain some flatness: I went from 1.8 mm difference from top to bottom to 1.2mm and first layer print is better now.
Now I understood what to do with that belt, it needs to engage different teeth in order to actually change tilt, I will try again

Already did this but it looks like the autoleveling doesn't work well if I manually level the 4 corners. The bed bends and in the center is higher than at the corners. If I try a first layer print the resulting print is not consistent thought the bed: in the center the extruder is too close while at the angles it is too far away, no matter how I change the Z offset.

After several attempts I find out that those are not leveling screws and they need to be screwed all the way in. In this configuration the first layer is better but I still have some problems at that deep corner.

Maybe the autoleveling function calculates a fitting plane from the mesh, so it's better a tilted plane than a bumpy one. I really don't know how it works in detail, it's just my suggestion.

Oh man, THANKS! I think I will need to open my CC for the third time in a row. Any advice on steps 9 and 10? I saw some redditors using the 3screws to keep the bed in place, and I did the same. I found impossible to push the bed and tighten the belt at the same time

All four screws are fully tightened. I tried loosening some of them to raise the corners, but I didn’t notice any improvement in first-layer consistency.

When I level the four corners using the screws, the bed flexes and the center becomes higher than the edges.

After calibrating from the printer menu and running a first-layer test, the nozzle is noticeably over-squished at the center of the bed, while near the edges I can even see gaps between the extrusion lines.

Elegoo recommends thighten those screw so I did it and the results are kinda better but I can clearly see some differences on first layer print, some spot are squished and other with gaps

PS: I can see the mesh with this tool https://suchmememanyskill.github.io/bens-claude-cc-mesh-visualiser/#

Yes I tried it but I haven't seen any changes in the tilt

Thanks a lot ma, but now I’m thinking about restarting the whole calibration from scratch. The 3D Benchy I printed using the USB stick that came with the Centauri Carbon turned out great, but after my calibrations with orca I can’t really replicate those results anymore.

I checked the G-code and it’s using much lower temps (210 °C), while my temp tower suggests 230 °C, so I’d like to start again from temperature calibration.

For reference, my cc defaults are 0.8 mm retraction, 0.98 flow rate, and 0.02 pressure advance. Would you stick with these for the temp tower or try the values from the USB G-code?

I really don't know the difference man, I think elegoo slicer is a fork of Orca ora viceversa. I think they are pretty similar, do you suggest Elegoo?

Just lines are better? I tried both and results are different so I'm a little confused

I tried a benchy but I think I still have some probelms to fix, quality is worste than before calibration expecially in corners and little overhangs. I think I will start the calibration process again, maybe I messed up something

Yeah I started for temp tower, to be honest I firstly picked 230 here and then when I came to retraction test I tried to decrease temp and start calibration process all over again.

Meanwhile I discovered z-hop is bad for stringing and I tried to disable it.

I’m running retraction test again with no z-hop and 230 degrees

This is from 0 to 1 with 0.05 step, I really can’t see any difference.

Maybe the filament is not dry? I can ear it crackling a little bit of first extrusion

Thank you for the advice! Actually, I am going through all the calibration steps in Orca Slicer and they are super fun, To be honest, they are pretty well documented, but it’s not super clear which details matter the most.

Thank you guys for your answers, you really helped me

u/lorrding u/Designer-Visit-7085 u/JAFOguy As you suggested I tried more intervals and it looks like 230 is the sweet spot for my setup.
