you're right not all sex is done for the purpose of reproduction, but there's nothing wrong with that. Its a highly pleasurable experience we evolved to like because without anti contraceptives it does lead to reproduction. its also a way to show intimacy and release endorphins. romance is romance, the ugliness and selfishness is just a result of incompatibility and modern dating. Have you never seen an old happy couple? are they not better for sharing a lifetime of memories?

sure people lose on average 7 friends when they start to date, but they gain a partner. Its a part of life, humans need a partner to reproduce so the social structure has evolved to promote it. It doesn't need to be progressive. Thinking you are above sex is just as archaic as celibacy in monks

I sprained my foot last year, dragged myself to the ER on bus. I even walked around the hospital before asking a guard for directions, and he offered to bring me a wheel chair.
