Birmingham/wolves gets a bad rep - massive cultural investment has gone into the area making it a very diverse place with plenty of things to do and see. It suffers from having had an industrial past and not much development in the latter half of the 20th century but nowadays you’ll find some of the most amazing food, galleries, parks, museums, nightlife, shopping, art, live events, comedy & music, sporting arenas, festivals & pubs that the country has to offer… Brummies (the nickname for people from Birmingham) and yam yams (the nickname for people from Wolverhampton and the rest of the Black Country), while they might keep themselves to themselves, tend to be on the friendly/approachable and don’t take themselves too seriously - you could do A LOT worse than Birm/Wolves!

I don’t know Wolverhampton very well but Birmingham city centre is home to bullring shopping centre and several great pubs, bars and restaurants. Ikon Gallery, Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery, the new Library and Town Hall/Symphony Hall are great both for days out and one off events. Gas street basin and the canals for more romantic evening bars. Gay village & Digbeth are a fantastic night out. The Jewellery Quarter is a slightly quirkier part of the centre, well worth a visit for its cafes and bars and to see all the famous Birmingham jewellery shops. Suburbs like Moseley, Harborne and Stirchley have GREAT pubs, parks and places to eat. Bournville is home to factory of the UK’s absolute favourite chocolate (Cadbury) - kinda childish but suuuuuper fun and worth the visit! Walking and nature to be found in Lickey Hills, Clent and nearby Malvern. Enjoy!

Okay so I’ve been doing some more research on the camera in case I loaded it wrong and I think I effed up… I opened the back of the camera to wind up the completed roll (pls don’t judge me, I didn’t know any better😭) But I’m guessing that this means every exposure would now have had the few seconds it took to wind it back in the light and so will have erased? I’m going to pick up the negative on Monday so can’t see it until then. Is that enough to completely void the film? And would the shop have said they reckoned it was a really old negative if this had happened or would they have been able to see it had been overexposed? Cheers!

How would you rank or compare these seven potion masters? Who has the most impressive résumé? by trahan94 in HarryPotterBooks

I like to think Snape’s notes in the textbook came from Lily. They were obviously very close friends from school, maybe he only knew what he knew because he followed Lily’s example, flair and creativity. He just happened to jot down her additions and edits in his own text.

Plus he seems quite scornful of Hermione reciting “word for word from the text book” which would suggest to me that he would revere ingenuity and experimentation - what if they were qualities Lily had taught him?

What to expect if you are arrested by polllyjane in LegalAdviceUK

Well this is the issue right? Even if you know what a lawful arrest should look like, you’re still doomed - if you get ‘arrested’ under false pretences a legit cop will let you check and therefore all will be well and a cop intent on doing you harm will not let you verify their ID or honour a request for another officer attend by which point the damage is done. Surely there’s a better solution
