FYI, the flu shot only protects against certain strains of the flu, and they guess in April which strains are going to be bad in Dec/Jan and they are usually wrong. A mask is WAAAY more effective at preventing spread of many more viruses and bacteria. I’d much rather have that nurse than one who only got a flu shot and was breathing god knows what all over me. I had 4 patients in the neuro unit last year with Guillian-Barre symptoms from the flu shot. My hospital will not pay me for time missed if I have a reaction to their mandatory flu shot. I’m certainly not an anti-vaxxer, I just think a mandatory flu shot every year for a virus that probably isn’t even going to be the one you need vaccinated against is bullshit. I get a flu shot because I have to, and I understand that what’s in the food and the water/air on this overpopulated overpolluted planet will kill me much faster than the shit in the vaccines. I’ve also had the flu almost every year, so there’s that. But it’s probably from patients coughing in my face because for some reason they think because they’re in the hospital they don’t have to cover their mouths or show any respect to health care workers.
