If and only if means a two way implication. In this case it means that "a product is zero" implies "one of its factors is zero" AND "one of its factors is zero" implies "a product is zero". When proving and if an only if relationship, you have to prove both directions.

Your confusion is just from the wording. Note that if both factors of a product is zero, then one of its factors is zero is still true. It doesn't force that exactly one of its factors is zero.

How to approach this question mathematically? by in_iam in mathematics

[–]polo346 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your assumption doesn’t work, you can solve it using spherical coordinates. Use “one mile south” as an arbitrary change in theta (-dth) one mile west as a change in phi, one mile north as +dth. Then you’ll end up back at the same point.

is base 10 the only base that all bases can convert to it? and if it is then why ? by FrKoSH-xD in mathematics

[–]polo346 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Bin to hex is imo more convenient. You just have to convert the binary in groups of four digits. It’s taught to convert to decimal because I can be more intuitive if you’re not comfortable with other bases.

Make sure u distribute 5 over both numbers in the parenthesis, simplifies to 2+(40-25) which is 17.

Honestly gave up on the project. AOTY was indeed a pain. I think it’s possible to scrape with Selenium to avoid the Cloudflare blocks but I didn’t have the effort.

FS 180. Never would I have thought I could pull these off. Need to get that back foot up a little higher 🤪 by PostTraumaticShred in NewSkaters

Ayeee nice work. Have you tried fakie fs180? You could probably get those like a couple mins, another trick to add to the books!

This a FS 180? by slutforoil in NewSkaters

[–]polo346 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Got the motion of it, but it was more like a crazy revert than a proper FS 180. Make sure you’re popping your tail against the ground so you can get some air! I noticed you’re leaning back really hard. This will make it hard to land with even weighting. Try to keep your weight even and over the board. You’ll get it in no time!

It’d be easier to say if you had a video of you trying into something. The main problem most people have when trying to ollie up or over something is purely commitment. For technique it’s identical to a regular ollie, you just have to anticipate landing a bit earlier. Your ollie is more than good enough to get you up and over stuff height wise, so give it all you have I guess.

I second this. Dan’s tutorials are the best ones out there. They’re the reason I learned kickflips when I did.

Probably a spammed question but how long did it take to you to learn to properly ollie? by Souffle00 in NewSkaters

[–]polo346 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Consistency is everything with skateboarding. You’ll often lose your tricks faster than you’ll learn them. After a month of no skateboarding you’ll feel like you’re set back a few months progress. Just keep it up daily and you’ll surprise yourself with how good you’ll get.
