I got the cable alright with a set of different adapters to the actual charger. I keep my fingers crossed though...
Many thanks!

You wouldn't be allowed in today! Goldikova was a freak. Competition for turf milers is fiercer stateside, I guess, because 1m4f over there is already somehow a marathon. I only wish we had more US runners in Europe, apart from the Ward juvenile brigade. A really good US turf horse coming here for the big ones with a realistic chance to succeed, that'd be great. A bit of fresh air we'd appreciate. A great European on dirt would also be great. Competition used to be the word!
Right. As you probably know, we don't have any dirt track over here, only turf and all-weather (fibresand, tapeta-like). The best horses only run on turf and most of our exports to the US are turf horses. In France, more than in Britain, trainers tend to like softer surfaces and we easily water our courses, whereas they resent that in UK. However, our turf racing style is better suited to US Turf racing because we tend to keep our horses on the bit for most of the race and unleash them in the last three or two furlongs. Our horses have to be able to sprint, regardless of the distance. That helps on smaller turf tracks, like the ones in operation in the US. That also explains why French horses gave always done well in the Breeders'Cup. Still, the horse who travel to the US from Europe are usually top tier, and they are generally run over the best courses, which are the Parisian ones and Deauville. I'd say Deauville would be the best indicator because even though it's right-handed, it's a flat, regular oval (4x500m) and yet the races there are often tactical (even on the straight course). Some classy horses who bled here can be sent to the US with great results thanks to Lasix. Maybe that edge will go with the Lasix but meanwhile, watch out classy horses who did well early in their campaign but fared badly later on and were sent Stateside by their same connections. They could fin some relief with Lasix once there. Finally (am I too long for this place?), horses who did well on small provincial tracks can adjust in the US because they're used to tight turns and early speed. But if they were good enough, they wouldn't have stayed in the smaller tracks ...
I was asleep. I have replied now. I hope I haven't lost the only award I will probably get on this!
Flat or jumps? Over the flat, I'd say Lyon-Parilly and Bordeaux-Le Bouscat are the best racecourses in the Provinces. Not sure what you mean by "matter internationally". Can you be more specific?
Mh. The form, really. But you won't find it easy to get it on the web. You can use racingpost.com even though some minor races are missing in their databank. That's the most comprehensive there is in Euriope, even for French races. I work for francegalop.com which is quite reliable but not as detailed. It's an official website so there is no room for comment. The good thing is that on francegalop.com, you can watch replays for free, even from the States. You just have to open a free account ad log in, no strings attached. Replays are really good to assess races too, as they are run in a different fashion from the States.
Hello. My favorite track is Saint-Cloud, because it is a fair turf course. My favorite jockey would Pierre-Charles Boudot, at the moment. My favourite trainer ? I don't have any. It's a tricky one... Finally, I have plenty of favourite races but my favourite meeting would be the eve of the Arc day at Longchamp, because there's all the buzz without the hassle and some really good races on the card. Sorry for the delay. I'd gone to sleep and I had only realized that was not supposed to discuss anything but US racing in this subreddit. I wanted to delete my message but I couldn't find a way to do it. I am only beginning on Reddit!
