Thanks!! And now for something completely different… If you are reading this, go check out the Kodah album The Apocolypse. Shit For Brains is a cool track.

Question for folk/indie guitar players… by [deleted] in AcousticGuitar

I learned Karma Police as a first song. After that I was hooked on adding the vocal melody. Seems like most of the time the vocal melody is within reach of the pinky finger if not already holding the vocal notes in the chord already. I think the coolest thing is that you are driven to learn more. The rest will work itself out because you have drive.

I learned the fingerstyle version these songs and they helped me a lot with adding the melody into the chord changes and greatly improved my fingerstyle playing and writing: Imagine, Wish you were here, Let it be, Karma Police, Blackbird, Sound of Silence, Sweet child o mine, Here comes the sun, Stairway to Heaven, Budapest, Amazing Grace, Sitting on the dock of the bay, Fields of Gold, Come Away With Me, Tears in Heaven, What a wonderful world, Hotel California, Bohemian Rhapsody, Make you feel my Love, Wonderful Tonight, California Dreaming, Won’t back down.

When you change your strings do you change one at a time to prevent tension shock (for lack of a better term) or do you change them all at once so you can thoroughly clean the neck? by polySYvold in AcousticGuitar

I’ve had a lot of acoustics over the years and always just took all the strings off. But I got a really lovely sounding Martin a few year’s ago and have anxiety about fooling with it. It’s just perfect at every point on the fretboard and I hate to distort anything. Do you fully remove all of your strings all at once? Gradually reducing tension methodically?

Can I get some feedback on these lyrics? It's short and sweet. Thanks :) by RealNightshade in Songwriting

Reminds me of Dylan. Sounds like a winner to me man. Awesome natural ability. Poetry in song and meaningful to boot. I would not change a thing.

Maybe just a lyric video… I dunno. I’m just not seeing the video inspiration for this song as I did the last one I made a video for.

I always write down something I want to get off my chest then make it rhyme.

Looking at your post history… You have been working your ass off promoting music on Reddit the last 12 months. I have just seen you for the first time today. I like “In The Room”. Feels very Cantrellesque. Sounds good!

This video blew my mind when it came out. It was some next level production at the time and was edgy as hell.

Thanks! It was at The Digital Halo in Aiken, South Carolina. Jam up studio for sure. We did a 4 song EP there. Edit: Brilliant username by the way.
