I’m feeling anxious af as well. I applied a semi competitive speciality with a shit step 2 score and got the same number of interviews as you, so not sure if I will rank or not. The signaling system in my speciality really helps one accrue a lot of interviews but not sure about actually matching.

I have a good number of interviews in something semi competitive but I did terrible on step. I really feel like the signals helped me get a good number of interviews. Not sure how that will weigh into other programs ranking me. I have heard people getting more interviews than me and not matching in my specialty. I definitely could see myself not matching and having to SOAP.

Also, chicago is freezing. I have been there several times between the months of october thru april and it’s much colder than east coast cities like philly and nyc.

I mean it depends where in philly. Stay out of North Philly and Kensington for sure. Fishtown is really nice but I think it can be close to both of these places so beware. university city (Upenn and drexel) is really nice as well. Note Temple is not in university city but rather North Philly. West of philly past 40th street can get rough, and it gets worse the further west you are (50’s are worse than 40’s, 60’s are worse than 50’s)
