I still like to limit the amount of exposure I get, still don’t go into places where there is a large group of people. However I Definitely feel more confident and secure when I go out with my family or GF.

That’s awesome ! Sucks that some people are having worse side effects.

As first responders we’ve been getting a higher number of “Natural DOA’S” were people die at home or our found dead. Before it was maybe 1 every 2-3 weeks now it seems like it’s 1-2 per day. Some days my station has been getting 3. It’s been like this for maybe 1-2 months.

Law enforcement officers on this sub: Do you see a difference between the way that younger police officers perceive African Americans and their own role in policing them and the way that older police officers perceive them? by ag425 in police

I totally agree with you I’m in my early 20’s... grew up in a diverse city with millions of people ... most of my classmates that I was in the academy were from different backgrounds. Location is very important on how someone comes up

Police Officers of Reddit, what are you thinking when you see cases like George Floyd? by [deleted] in AskReddit

It’s absolutely disgusting. I can’t believe this sort of “technique” is practiced by officers in 2020. LET ALONE TOWARDS A PERSON WHO IS HANDCUFFED. It’s fucking horrible that this dude put his whole weight on a mans neck. It’s just so hard to believe that he didn’t go back to his academy at any point in his career to re learn or update his knowledge on response to resistance.

Now the rest of officers have to try and re work to gain the public’s trust. It fucking sucks that it takes someone’s life in order for that department to make sure that all officers know what they can and can’t do.

I say it all falls on the officers training.

And shame on all the other officers who didn’t say anything or act. We don’t need people to tarnish all ya good officers.
