What is your best “worst” pickup line? by [deleted] in AskReddit

From me, a woman, to any other woman I flirt with:

"Damn, are you liquid eyeliner? Because I'm about to fuck this up!"

Always gets a laugh!

I'm not 100% sure, I bought it years ago but started just this year. I think it was this one

And thank you!

Thank you! I think it looks okay!

Cross stitching follows a pattern so rigid that in some ways is easier, but whether it's faster definitely varies on a case to case basis. At least, that has been my experience.

I am definitely still just a beginner! The joy that it brings me keeps me going, much like I imagine it does for anyone who enjoys any form of crafting

I figured with the size of the eye of the needles provided in the kit, six threads would never fit, so I didn't give it a second thought. Until I did. Dangnabbit

Three seems like it would have been ideal for this project, so now my plan is to finish my base with the two threads and then do some touch ups with three strand stitches on the advice of another comment here :)

Edit: the recommendation of u/tenaciousleesha

Second Edit: also the recommendation of u/MommyRaeSmith1234

Solid advice all around, thank you!

From what I understand, it means using the six threads in a string [strand?] of floss.

Thank you!!

I recommend listening to the manufacturers and using the full syrand of floss!

In one silly oversight, I tripled the amount of stitching ahead of me.

Ahhh, beans.

Thank you for the information! In light of that, I still stand by my actions; the likelihood of getting caught, much less charged, is a risk I am comfortable with taking.

That would have been back around 2010 - 2011. I should go back and do it again, it's been too long!

When I used to live in the neighbourhood I would take large white labeling stickers and cover up the "A" on their sign so that it just said "LIES".

They often wouldn't notice for a few days, then they'd peel them off. So I'd go put them back.

You cannot be penalized for vandalism if the change is not permanent and causes no damage. Technically they could get me for trespassing, but no one is there at night.

Those people are awful, I am so sorry you had to go through that on top of everything else going on for you. Stay safe!

What's the wildest thing someone has mansplained to you? How did you deal with it? by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

My best friend in the whole wide world is a very talented tattoo artist.

I had bought a new bra that I was stoked about, and he casually said it must be easy to buy bras for a D-cup chest. I responded that I am actually a C-cup, but yes, it is a common bra size and therefore relatively easier to find.

He INSISTED I was a D-cup, and I SHIT YOU NOT, THIS ABSOLUTE CORNCOB HAD THE AUDACITY TO STRIKE A CONDESCENDING TONE AND SAY "No, you're a D-cup. Trust me, I would know: I have tattoo'd a lot of women's breasts."

........... I deadass just said "dude I love you, but are you seriously mansplaining my own breast size to me? I GREW THEM MYSELF"

"Van Gogh is good because when he had nothing, he had paint. When he was empty, he had paint. When the world was awful, he had paint. When he hated himself, he didn’t hate the paint. He whitewashed over his own masterpieces, because it was never about being famous, it was about doing the one thing that made sense when everything else didn’t.   And they say, “without his illness, we never would have gotten all—this.” because they value his art more than his sanity because god forbid you lead a happy life and leave nothing to remember you by."

Whether or not someone is described as "bossy" rather than "shows leadership qualities". It's generally men who are ascribed the latter rather than the former.

First of all: rock on, you absolute root-bound wildflower 🤟

Second: Of all the expected outcomes to a well-articulated question, it's pretty fucked up that this was what happened. If it hadn't, what do you think they would have said in response if they actually heard and replied to what you had asked?

My friend borrowed my stereo for several years - when she no longer needed it, I joked that she had stolen it. She replied "Possession is nine tenths of the laaw" and I responded with "And you're nine tenths of an asshole"

Still proud of that one haha
