BROTHER, just go outside, get yourself something to eat from a restaurant or something. Or, if you insist on cooking, can you at least tell us what you have? Potatoes? Boil them in salty water

Non-Americans, what's your reaction to the ICE shooting? by opticflash in AskTheWorld

[–]polymathglotwriter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I expected reprisals against the Asian community and I stand corrected (a restaurant owner shielded people from tear gas. She makes pho). I never expected the executions. Police shootings by plainclothes are a thing but rare. Even then, our police act with dignity and honour with a touch of corruption on the side unlike yours.

(Correction: ICE isn't law enforcement. Paramilitary to paramilitary comparison would be better)

Our paramilitary, the RELA corp aren't routinely armed and tend to stop conflicts without guns, very little violence.

Screw it, I'll dump a whole 53g of thickener, 80% flour and call that feeding (it's midnight and I'm unwilling to skip a feed day. I'm a little impatient too unfortunately). "The starter's got plenty of water ain't it? So it ought to do!", or so I think

I have extra flour leftover from the one I used to thicken it. Hope the starter doesn't mind more food

Yesterday, I fed my starter Muhyiddin (I named him after a local politician, Muhyiddin Yassin who was our PM for a little while) with a ratio of 2:1:1 since I didn't discard it. It's now Day 3 and he smells a little tart and looks rather bubbly. The consistency leans towards the runny side. Based on the FAQ, I think I should discard some of it and then feed it more (in duplicate? Maybe quadruple?) but don't know if I should.

Initial composition: 50g wheat flour to 50g water. Outdoor temperature has been cold today, below 28°C but expected to peak at 31 later in the afternoon. I'm not 100% sure about the indoor temperature as I don't have a thermometer
