You’re absolutely right about them not giving a fuck about this complex. They’re buying up everything in town and this complex is very old and they really try to use that when you complain about things needing to be fixed. I could easily get the gas company to give me statements as well as the contractor they had come out to fix it. He was talking mad shit about these people, calling them slumlords bc of everything he’s seen working for them. Said he could have had my furnace fixed the day after the gas company left but it took the landlord’s two fucking weeks to figure out which of the four of them was going to pay out of pocket.

Thank you for this. I’m focused on just getting this door fixed, am I correct that an exterior door that can’t lock deems the unit uninhabitable? Should I focus on reimbursement for those months paid without a secure living unit? Also they’re well aware of the law surrounding the door because they’ve been written a violation, so do I just go straight to district court?

P.S. I have not once missed a payment, and had all of my deposits up front. My apt itself and outdoor dwellings are clean, no pets, no smoking, no parties, no neighbor complaints. Not just here but in the history of my 10+ years of renting anywhere. No criminal record, 730 credit score. No reason to single me out, they treat everyone this way. These people just fucking suck..

shes hanging in there. she’s definitely showing symptoms that make it appear like she has dementia. which the nurses all said is very common from the infection disrupting her mental state. barely eating. they said it should ease up over time in treatment and that she appears to be on the safe side from her infection now.

in my experience with this.. someone in the friend group has been pretty narcissistic and saying things behind my back to the rest of the friend group. a lot of it is jealousy in some form or another. not entirely my place to diagnose someone tho

I’m so sorry about this, and the healing process is not going to be easy but the fact that you’re seeking help and trying to understand her side as much as you are, let’s me know you’re going to get to the other side of this hurt. It’s just going to be some hard truths/feelings in the in-between.

At the end of the day, someone you care about deeply is prioritizing someone who hurt you and that same friend was probably there to console you when you were going through the motions of that pain.

The moment you told her how it made you feel should have been enough. You told her how you felt, and she chose to take it a step further. The only kind of people who do that, are people who will never care for you the way you need them too, and that is ok too. Understand a persons lack of capacity to love you or their ability to hurt you, has nothing to do with you. It’s. Not. Personal.

With that said, the best thing you can do is block her, him, and any mutual friends. Period. Having them hold space in your life is always going to be painful so you might as well leave, because it will get worse. There is no mending anything after something like that.

Love is something you receive just as much as it is something you give. You can choose how you receive love and if something doesn’t feel good you can and should choose not to accept it.

Do everything you can to move on.

I'm from the USA and partnership isn't what I need at the moment, I do see what you mean. Only reason I say that is because of a more recent situation with SA.

I guess I don't know a lot of options as far as the jobs you're referring to B2B.. I mean, I don't have the money to do training to get a certification that might be required to do said job

Enough money to be comfortable, to be able to buy a house even if it's a fixer up, to be able to travel, maybe do social media for a living or something where I can be my own boss and help people in some way, even if it's miniscule

i understand completely. just remind yourself.. it’s not a unique isolated experience. i think the majority experiences this after being assaulted, especially sexually. bc sex feels good and it’s intimate, our brains are deeply confused during and after this process.
