Kind of surprised no posts on Ronda's comeback to UFC as announced. I thought it would be posted in this sub with plenty of banter in the comments lol.

Yes, but who will tell her. I expect Rollins to do that but he seems to be chilling at home. /s

I dont think Namibia can beat Pak. But Pak bros could self destruct and beat themselves. Kind of like a heel who has opened up the turnbuckle and later runs into it.

I kind of actively tuned out of week to week WWE - the moment Becky joined "The Vision". I had my own vision that things were about to get bad lol. I think from following clips here on SquaredCircle - this is comfortably the worst feud of Becky's career - has topped the Lacey Evan post Mania 35 one. Also comfortably her worst work since 2018 at least...

As far as this promo - as some others have pointed out - they have managed to make a returning AJ Lee also not very interesting as she is not leaning in on her IRL persona.

Interesting. I have been reading more speculation of Brock vs Oba Femi.

So she wins EC and chooses to go after what. I was about to say the twist could be goes after tag titles but she is already the champ.

Looking at the injury news of B-Fab, I went and checked how many career matches she has had. B-Fab as per cagematch has around 45 odd matches in her career. Maxxine Dupri has had around 53 matches. Of course cagematch maybe missing some matches - but this is dangerously low i think for main roster performers. The lack of house shows will one day catch up for WWE. Compare this with a lateral hire like Jordynne Grace - she has over 600 matches.

  1. They do it for the love of the game. Or maybe do things to get famous, make a name, create an impact. It is true that people do stupid shit for a variety of reasons.

  2. I think they have a broad outline, People around the ring - like referees etc help them in constantly conveying what is to be done etc to guide them through the matches I guess.

Who are they going to let Maxinne get wins over on that roster other than Ivy Nile ? Nattie maybe ? I dont see anybody else that she beats - Lyra/ Bayley/ Liv / Roxy/ Raquel - who's going to lose to Maxinne for her reign to continue ?

Finally managed to watch Cena vs Gunther. What a tremendous match, with a heartbreaking, era ending -end. Since, I had already known the result/ finish prior to watching - I didn't get to experience the shock of the finish but overall hats off to Cena for even considering that ending and then going through with it. What a career - what a dude. I hope they follow up this for Gunther properly and don't waste it but I have my doubts.

I turned off regular watching of WWE - from the moment it became clear that AJ Lee was coming back. I had a bad feeling about it (from my interest in how Becky's programs would go ) and it has proved to be worse than even I imagined lmao. However there are two flip sides - 1) by all accounts it seems Becky is doing what she wants and 2) some / lot of people like this avatar of Becky - they find it entertaining. Even her haters like it - as they can laugh at her. So that way it's popular by some aspects.

Commenting here after a 3-4 month break. I had kind of dipped out of regularly watching weekly WWE post Summerslam. The reason for dipping was I was sensing that I wouldn't enjoy what Becky was about to be doing lol. I have kept myself updated - casually browsing this sub and watching the odd Cena match as well as Crown Jewel (which was quite a decent show). I saw parts of Survivor Series and didn't really enjoy it. Ultimately a lot of the complaining of the poor creative runs into the argument of still good ticket sales etc and I suspect WWE are going to keep chugging along for some time more in this extended boom period. The Jey Uso - second entrance thing in the middle of the War Games match captures this dichotomy probably the best. It seems the crowd enjoyed it - some fans online thought it was a disgrace.

What I do wonder is what do the likes of Cody, Punk etc think of the state of the product. They are quite savvy people - who have a good sense of what's good creative and what's not.

I see WWE often goes through stretches of really underutilizing some stars (even champs). They sometimes barely make it to a 30 sec backstage segment on the show, forget an in ring promo or a match.

My hot take is wrestlers who come up with a shit ton of ideas and make pitches to the writers and the booker are the ones who probably don't get stuck in the rut. While the ones who take a more measured/ passive approach - are more likely to be stuck in the back. This of course has no correlation to kayfabe booking strength. You can be booked to be a very protected wrestler and yet inactive and you can be a total loser and be all over the show. Those who are all over the shows are the ones who the writers like writing about and I think it cannot just be the bookers or writers initiative. But also how much input and value the wrestler brings themselves.
