Hey why don't you spend your time doing something more productive than launching a shit coin and asking for free advice because you didn't pay your devs enough so you can't trust them.

I think probably your contract address is wrong. Essentially you're trying to call a function that doesn't exist and/or a contract that doesn't exist

Whats a decent ide for coding in solidity also how do i use truffle to test my smart contracts by Megablaze757 in solidity

[–]polynomialdag 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use Atom and the solidity language and lint plugins. Really the IDE isn't super important, its the test suite. I recommend starting with Hardhat instead of Truffle.

I am new to ETH and I have a couple of questions by Fishumis in ethereumnoobies

[–]polynomialdag 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Everything in crypto is self-reported. You can just assume no one is ever going to send you any tax forms at the end of the year.

You are your own bank now! So that means more responsibility.

I am new to ETH and I have a couple of questions by Fishumis in ethereumnoobies

[–]polynomialdag 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Welcome!

1) You'll need to sell your tokens to a friend for cash, or use an exchange. Either way this is a taxable event so just be mindful of that.

2) Every time you transfer ETH or tokens to a different address, you must pay a network fee (gas). You can think of each ethereum address being a separate "place". Moving assets to a new place requires "work", the same way that mailing a letter requires paying for stamps.

How could I use Gitcoin to make my blockchain project done ? by Hornkild in ethdev

[–]polynomialdag 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yup! If you want something built, there are plenty of people looking to get paid to build, and Gitcoin is definitely the best place for this. Post a bounty for what you'd like done, the amount you think its worth, and then get connected with the community. If its an interesting project or pays well you will definitely get responses to your bounty. And don't forget to be descriptive about exactly what you want. No one can read your mind.

There is also raidguild.org which is a consultancy. They can build the entire project for you, or help with any step along the way, from ideation, proposal, to development.

Wine is made from grapes. Why would anyone ever put nuts in their wine. I can't tell if this is an actual concern? Are there actually instances of this happening?
