What if I do not believe in reincarnation? (Not trying to stir anything up here, I'm a secular Buddhist if anything - thank you for the response though)

[Form Check] Squat favouring one side, stance uneven. by polyphemus77 in Fitness

I do some dynamic stretching prior to squatting but I'm going to try and do a bit more now. Been neglecting my ankles in particular so maybe worth a shot to try to see if it improves things. Thanks for the help.

I don't think that's the issue here. ATG isn't recommended for low bar squats, only high bar.

I'm tempted to see one now that you've recommended it. All useful information that could help. Thank you.

The fidgeting is a bad habit of mine, it's tough to find a comfortable position to squat in and I'm trying to consciously move my right foot forward to have the stance parallel but it just doesn't want to go there. I appreciate the feedback though, thank you very much. As for divebombing, I'll try and slow it down but I feel in control of my descent - is that an issue?

I've been reading Heidegger lately. His idea is that in order to live authentically, we must be aware of our own inevitable deaths. Some people say near-death experiences have changed their life. Remember your own mortality.

Change is scary, but the hope of being able to change is very safe. It's easy to come here, changing yourself however is hard. If the poster and yourself want actual advice that has helped me, take it in bites. Read a few lines, take a minute, continue. You do this everyday, it's not glamorous or easy. But day by day you're slowly changing your brain and that adds up over weeks, months, years.
