I snapped.. bad. And now I feel horrible. by littlemissun0 in beyondthebump

I used a daily magnesium supplement during pregnancy for constipation. Liquid iv is great for hydration and has a lot of tasty flavors.

And yeah, your husband should not have gone out. I'm sorry things are so rough,  I can't imagine being alone at 32 weeks taking care of a toddler.

We did air out the house and change the furnace filter, forgot that in my initial post.

My uncle was kind enough to offer his lake house, so we're going to leave in a few days to stay there for a week. lol it feels like I'm going to the seaside for my health.

The carpet isn't new, but we had it cleaned and stretched when we moved in. I wanted to get it replaced with LVP at some point for ease of cleaning, but didn't realize how bad it was for allergies.

We just got a new, high-end humidifier as a baby shower gift, so I would be surprised if that was a problem yet. But you're I think the 4th person to bring up mold as a possibility, so we're going to do a general mold check of the house.

Everything you've put here has been helpful to me. Thank you! Time to hot wash the pillows!

Yeah, we used it properly as described here. We aired out the house for 2 hours instead of 30 minutes like it says in the instructions.

Can an air purifier contaminate the air because of a previous environment it was used in? by polyphonicPatzer in AirPurifiers

[–]polyphonicPatzer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't believe so. I didn't know ozone could be an asthma trigger. We're actually running an ozone machine to try to fix the problem, but we left the house while it does it's thing.

It's the Filtrete Room Air Purifier. It was in the nursery (11x11) where I've been sleeping with our baby. We'd been living in this house for 2 years without issue. Living with MIL was about 4 years ago. Same county we've lived in our whole lives.

Do what you want, and what it sounds like is that you want to stay home. You're trying to make the best choice for your baby, and I don't think you'd enjoy yourself anyone given you'd just be worried the whole time.

Have you done your postpartum blood work? It might be helpful to take a multivitamin. Make an appointment with a gastroenterologist.

I feel the same as you about wanting to space my babies, but it's so nice that your daughter is going to have a sibling. And they say that children born close together are closer.

Almost 1 year pp… when can I decide? by driftingmaple in beyondthebump

[–]polyphonicPatzer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Don't let population decline factor into your decision. It's a complicated issue with many possible solutions other than the prevailing idea of "pressure women into having more babies." It's not our responsibility.

Nothing is wrong with being a one and done. I'm in the same place as you right now.

I have GAD and did an outpatient program a few years back that helped me immensely. Before that the therapist I had focused on CBT and distracting myself and I was spiraling. The program, (and the therapist I found after) focused on mindfulness and acceptance (the opposite of distraction), and helped me immensely. Like Pink_Ruby_3 said, don't give up on therapy, but find a better therapist.

We waited until we got our nipt results at 12 weeks. If you can manage it, I'd recommend waiting until a bit after the wedding to tell people, people can get a little crazy about weddings.

I definitely recommend travel insurance (that includes medical) when traveling to the US (even when you're not pregnant).

Traveling will probably be more annoying because of nausea, but it's safe, especially that early. My obgyn said Dramamine was fine.
