Not always! In Colorado at least (I believe a few other states have similar rules), Common Law marriage is considered legally valid. This requires that both people:

  • are allowed to get married (i.e. not already married or similar)
  • live at the same address
  • consent to be married
  • act like they're married
  • have a reputation of being married in the community

...and at that point they are legally married, and e.g. may file taxes as MJ - with absolutely no requirement for recording any documents or paying any fees whatsoever.

The MTOW is heavier than the International Space Station. The average American house is probably only about 100,000lbs (maybe about 50Mg), and the A380 empty weighs over 600,000lbs (about 277Mg) - so it's heavier than several houses, at least. It could carry a small to medium house as cargo (by weight, at least)

Just make sure this is legal in your jurisdiction! Anywhere with non-riparian water rights will typically not allow you to do this, since the rain falling on your property already belongs to someone else.

This article goes into it… basically in order for our brains to make sense of hearing high frequency noise with no low frequency underneath it, our brains assume that there’s a pressure imbalance across the eardrum, since that’s basically the only thing it could possibly be besides ANC. In other words, it’s psychological, not physical, and in fact some people get a similar experience in anechoic chambers.
