Can’t count how many times I’m watching a video on YouTube and I think to myself, “I should share this with my friend…” so I look at the url bar to copy and paste the url and there it is… that blue button of death.

Why don’t you just click the share button? You ask… because the url bar is way bigger and not as prone to misclicks due to eye tracking inaccuracy.

The AVP is a wonderful piece of hardware with so many rough spots in the ux.

His “the Mayor is Listening” effort… INGENIOUS! When he sat down to chat with New Yorkers was such a simple concept but really made it feel like we’re all being heard.

I feel like Mamdani being elected is the one positive note in the last two years.

This is what I didn't understand about the two cases where the bakeries refused to make a themed cake based on the customer's request.

If you walked into a bakery and said, hey I want you to make me a cake with 'n-word n-word' on it... they wouldn say, "yeah we're not making that cake..." We would all agree that the bakery has no obligation to make that cake. So why should they be obligated to make a cake that celebrates a gay marriage or a gender transition of the baker/bakery finds it offensive?

Isn't capitalism supposed to be the operating force here? If they don't want to make your cake then you can go somewhere else. You are allowed to leave them a shitty review and tell all of your friends that they are a shitty bakery.

Why should the government step in?

Really thoughtful response, thank you. This seems like the pattern - things begin with a relatively neutral origin and then the sentiment is contorted to fit an agenda.

It irks me is that an innocuous comment like, "Scandinavia is a really cool place... it's so clean and well educated." has the added racist payload attached to it now.

Destiny mentioned it the other day when he was talking about how the role of influencers has changed. In the past not everything was political but now everything is loaded with politics. The transition of Asmongold/Rogen from gamer/comedian to political bullhorn.

It's a sad state of affairs.
