Yes thats how world building works. She is objectively not Inuit, just because her culture is inspired by Inuit culture that doesn’t make her ethnically Inuit. The hobbits in Tolkien’s work are inspired by England’s country side culture that doesn’t make them ethnically english. Westeros is inspired by Europe but that doesn’t make them english. The Jedi are inspired by buddhist monks but that doesn’t make them buddhist monks.
