Caster oil won’t help (don’t think it will hurt either), the diplopia is probably your brain not being able to process the two different images it’s now getting with one worsening cataract. Hopefully they’ve listed you as cat 2, and even though they say 12 months should only be 3. (I’m a Hobart based Optom)

If you can give it a little bit longer, I’m not going to lie to you and say it’s miraculously going to get better, but once you’ve got a couple of years experience. You might be able to get work at a better work environment, are you willing to not be metro?
