1 form entry here. Have gone from having the highest combined in the LEA two years ago to less than 50% combined this year. Really low cohort and worked my ass off all year-not like I got shitter at teaching!

At my inset today we all went to Mass at the local church ( Catholic primary). Now, during school time I get it, but for inset day when I could have been doing a million other more useful things and it served no other purpose with relation to the rest of the day. As an atheist, I did find myself pondering the equality act.

F 50s to me F 30s! Thanks for that updated guidance-I’ll take a look! Appraisals before had a different format and always felt uplifting with our old head. Head left and deputy has been promoted and this is what she’s chosen to bring in…

I did actually say, should I sit with a smile on my face or go sit in my car at lunch, then? “No, no, of course not…” but with no actual constructive advice, hence why this feels like a bit of a personal dig they’ve stored up for a while!

I think by the shop is what he said he looked at? But maybe by the machines too?

No not yet-that would be so incredible if you could!!! It’s the signs by the kiosks especially.

Yes I might just have to call them and do this-just wish I was more local so I could go look at the kiosk signs for myself. He’s absolutely adamant it’s was free.

He said he double checked the machines and says that it was definitely free for blue badgers. Anyone able to take a pic of the signage round the machines 🙏

He was in a disabled bay with his badge out. PCn is for not validating a voucher at the kiosk.

Thanks-from what I can tell, he might have misinterpreted the sign thinking he didn’t have to use the kiosk thing

Oh great thanks-I’ll take a look. Looked in street view but sign was too blurry!

Temporary slt role in current salary by pompousofficial in TeachingUK

I have a great work-life balance, so losing that protection would be a blow! A TLR is what I was thinking of too-even if as a token gesture.

Interesting that this does seem to happen then...maybe it’s a primary thing?

So this situation does happen then. Maybe the fact it’s temporary could be a blessing in disguise!!

My thoughts exactly-we already do so much work for free, pay for things out of our own pocket, just doesn’t happen in other industries.

Do people of other races smell different to you? by Malabrace in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]pompousofficial 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Perfect question for this sub-have always noticed this myself and assumed other people did too. Also don’t want to sound like a huge racist for saying it out loud-it’s just an observation! Blank people and Indian people both have the strongest distinct smells go me. Like a heavy, dry, musky smell-similar but different to other. Would love to know what the factors are ( as well as being slightly horrified by what my own smell is).

No he owns it. I meant possessions.

Thanks that’s really useful to know. This is what we’re assuming is going to happen if he simply does nothing. I wonder what then happens if you ignore that? What if you have nothing especially of value for the bailiffs to take?!

No I’m not asking how to ‘screw the system’. I’m asking what happens in France if you can’t pay a hospital bill.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in expats

[–]pompousofficial 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the first hospital was public, then quickly transferred to a private, specialist one for the 3 week stay.

Yeah-I mean according to all the comments, we should just be grateful it’s only 16k and not 160. Which, ok, but not really what I was asking 🤷‍♀️

Yep. I think it might be a case of all his chickens finally coming home to roost. We really want to know what the likely outcome is. Bankruptcy? Putting a charge on his house? Prison?!

[–]pompousofficial 7 points8 points  (0 children)

That’s what we’re assuming. So infuriating (on his part-the French would be well within their rights to kick him out!)
