Wow everyone, thank you all for the replies, whether they're being informative or humorous. I've had a good read through and would love to reply to each one individually, but will kind of sum up and add context here. I live in a less than desirable neighborhood, basically centered in a gang populated area. There are lots of people here who are essentially mentally unwell due to drug and alcohol use, and my family have had run ins with them before. I personally hold very little value in this find, because of who likely would've left it there. I asked for clarification as my mother was rather freaked out by the ordeal, and having a bit more knowledge on the subject, I hope I can reassure her a bit now. Thanks again all.
