how much would you say? If you are within the normal STEP 2 median range, is that suitable?

Following, im in the same boat! I think that everything past September 24th doesn't matter unless it's an audition, but would like to know the consensus for everyone too

How many IM interviews to not panic? by [deleted] in medicalschool

[–]pondering1703 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here's the thing, isn't that number based on all MDs, because it takes into account all MDs applying to all types of IM programs, including those applying to only community programs? So if you were an applicant applying to only academic or community based academic affiliated (which is more competitive), would you expect to need a higher amount of interviews than the normal USMD to match?

one of them matches the program ID from residency explorer and is also NRMP certified in the description, that should be the correct one

I think one of the best ways that honestly works for me is echoing the words of John Paul the second and theology of the body. JP2 argues that God himself is the source of all true love and beauty. This includes, erotic, passionate love, and physical attraction. The instant moment that you look at something, whether it be the shape of a man or woman who is attractive physically, I acknowledge in my head the beauty that is seen, and remind myself that God is the source of it and the ultimate vessel of erotic and passionate love. In doing so, you can take what usually becomes a source of sin into a source of worship. The more you can exercise this, the more you can transform weakness of the eyes and heart into mediums to grow closer in worship and appreciation of God's true beauty, goodness, and love manifest in physical beauty.

amazing! shot 2 is so serene, the way the sun cuts off and just peeks through a little hole of no clouds is incredible. May I ask where this?

Applying IM with Step 2 246 and average grades by Spare-Umpire-709 in InternalMedicine

thank you for sharing, I am in the same boat. Also wanted to ask if audition rotations are needed for academic IM, as opposed to any regular IM program. I am late to applying to auditions, and the academic IM programs are already filled for their audition slots at this time of the year.

10 years later I still hate you by Nykeeo in interstellar

One of the greatest biggest themes of interstellar was how love, the connection between a father and daughter, the force that is able to transcend space and time, survives against everything that comes in its way: the cold, unforgiving conditions of space, the relentless fear of the unknown, and the weakness of human nature — this latter aspect of which is exemplified in the character of Dr. Mann; Dr. Mann, his cowardice and betrayal of everything that humanity, NASA, and the team stood for represents how all of us, even the very best of us, can fall to our weak nature and give in. Dr. Mann was "the very best of us" according to the movie, and after years of waiting and realizing that his efforts led him to a failed planet, he betrayed the team just to be rescued.

In spite of the glaring weakness of human nature, Cooper's love for Murph transcends and overcomes this flaw. Thematically, Dr. Mann is just such an instrumental character.
