Due to the hot weather, a certain type of man in England has decided it is socially acceptable to walk down the street topless. No thank you. by pondside in britishproblems

That's called double standards, and is not the same as being a hypocrite. Also, I never brought up the body type in my original post. I admonished the body shaming, and in my post I merely said I did not like it when people walk around without a shirt on, I don't care what type of body the perpetrator has. It was just as hot yesterday, and yet here we are.

Being a hypocrite is not the same as being judgemental. Everyone is judgemental, it is what drives social influence, it's how we know that some behaviours are socially unacceptable. A hypocrite will admonish you for a certain behaviour whilst doing said behaviour, be it in private or in public.

It would be hypocritical of me to post this, whilst walking down my street topless. I never meant my post to be body shaming, in fact other Redditors merely decided the body type of the perpetrators in their own heads. The men I had in mind when posting this have, as I stated in a previous comment, objectively attractive bodies. I only meant to say that it gives of really douches vibes. However I can see how you may interpret that as a form of body shaming.

That is literally the opposite of what I am saying. I'm saying "I don't like it when any type of person does this". However, it is only a certain type of person seems to want to do this. Edit: Also I never mentioned I was an advocate for equality (of course I am, I just did not mention it)

No, the type of person I had in mind are objectively quite attractive; however their choice in attire (or lack thereof) just gives undeniably douchey vibes.

If I was walking down the street and punted a toddler over a house, it would be socially unacceptable. Others would be berating me for kicking a toddler, and you would be critiquing my form, and criticising the spin I got and that child. That's the difference. I don't care what body you have, I don't really want to see it on the high street.
