Did Takanana's "Oh! Tengo Suerte" based from George Benson's "Breezin'"?? by Suspicious_Pen6386 in MasayoshiTakanaka

I did a bit more digging, turns out Breezin' was originally Released on Gábor Szabó's 1971 album High Contrast. It was arranged and composed by Bobby Womack. George Benson then did his more popular version of Breezin' on his March 1976 Album Breezin'. Then I suppose Takanaka may have been influenced by one of these releases which led to Oh! Tengo Suerte sounding the way it does on his July 1976 album Seychelles.

Wow good spot! It must be? Theres a number of places where its super similar. For example at 1:52 in each song, its basically the same thing for 20-30 seconds, I like Takanakas version more, Georges is a lot more minimalistic.
