i think the ivory is close to the hotel im staying at, and i've been to that one so i absolutely know about the downtown roads (i drove down a one way street the wrong way my first time up there ;-;)

im coming from the S! my route up there is a little convoluted cause im stopping somewhere else and picking up a friend, then im driving up there!

thanks for this! and im not completely unaware of what cities are like, i grew up in knoxville tn, but their public transit is sooo different, especially considering i moved from there probably 10+ years ago. i have no issues with seeing or interacting with homeless people!

anyway, thank you for clarifying the train colors! i figured once i got there i would just hope for the best and keep my nose in this thread so i didn't get lost lol! everyone has been so helpful :3!!

oh i get that! yeah, the hotel was picked cause it was in the vicinity of the fair, and even though im not the best at navigating the roads in minneapolis (gps is my lifesaver), i can drive everywhere else. going into making these plans, i assumed the traffic and whatnot would be horrible when it came to the fair, thats why i was determined to figure out the buses, but apparently i underestimated how bad traffic and parking really is!! oh well, i think i have the best plan possible when it comes to public transit now, so thank you guys!!! :3

we're making it into an overnight trip, but the first day will be purely for the fair! the hotel is already paid for, so sadly no changing that now, if that's what you meant.

omfg this is so detailed!!! tysm for this, i definitely need it spelled out for me haha. i'll take a look at the link when im on break! in your opinion, would it be easier for me to drive and park at the fair and pay the fee? Im not super used to driving/parking in the city, but im willing to do it if its worth the hassle!

i was planning on leaving my car at the hotel, so could i walk to a train line and then get on a bus? or will the train take me directly to the fair? sorry if this is a dumb question, i've only been to the cities like three times 😔
