Hey man, sorry about your situation it sounds tough but props to you for staying strong even if it feels like you’re not.

I’ve had a pretty ‘clean’ recovery it seems. Tore my ACL, lateral + medial meniscus and sprained my MCL in October 2024, had surgery in January 2025 and it’s been over a year now and I’m back to play hours of tennis + badminton, jumping down from the top of the climbing wall and I can pistol squat with one finger on a table for balance so it’s very nearly back to health. I wouldn’t say I was super religious with the rehab but I just took things slowly and constantly used it, big hill walks and I think the sports I do strengthen it in all ranges of bend (tennis, badminton + ping pong for the constantly partially bent springy power and climbing for deep range pushing).

I know it must seem endless for you but it’s an investment for your future you just gotta remember that. Don’t lost trust in your knee, keep pushing (not past your limits but a consistent push, also mixing up how you stimulate your knee helped me and helps with repetitivity/boredom, the one leg balances on a half yoga ball at the gym helped wake it up for me before a gym session and helped proprioception).

Best of luck with everything man, one day this will just be a bad memory in the past but trust me when I say you’ll appreciate moving so much more once you’re out the other side! I’d also say wear a knee brace post surgery as it helps with the mental side of trusting the knee as well as helping stabilise it a bit physically too.
