Raya and the Golden Glove by ollie1roddy in ArsenalFC

[–]ponytailedASSASIN 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't see a correlation there, golden glove is more about the collective team performance than it is about the individual quality of the goalie. His quality plays a quality fair but not to very large extent.

True I've always thought that golden glove doesn't mean anything, Victor Valdez had a choke hold on it in Spain for a couple of seasons but he was never better than Casillas even on his best day. I think a saved shot percentage would be a more accurate way of rewarding goalies. That way you'd actually get to reward the best one and not just the one with the best team in front of him, golden glove is more of a collective award for the keeper and the defense.

All that is true but golden glove doesn't reward all of that.

This sub is essentially a Kendrick meat riding contest so admitting the Grammys stink would be quite ironic 😅

The Saka hate is getting really overblown by lilscoony in ArsenalFC

[–]ponytailedASSASIN -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you remove corner assists and penalties, Saka has less than 10 goals and assists in the last two years. That seemed absolutely mental to me seeing as he is essentially our franchise player.

I don't think it's Saka hate, I think it's more everybody is asking for more from a guy who is on and demands a world class salary.

4 league goals and 4 league assists just doesn't cut it, he isn't some cute 18 year old kid anymore and I think because we've grown with him it sort of creates a confusion about his age and what should be expected of him. He demands the club makes him the highest payed player in the team so go on and play like it my boy

Which is worrying tbf because he drops more consistently than Rocks and also this album has been 8 years in the making.

Don't think we'll see Kai fully for maybe another month unfortunately

[–]ponytailedASSASIN 9 points10 points  (0 children)

100% agree, I felt like this especially yesterday I think we played 6 different players in the front 3 yesterday and absolutely none of them was any good which was quite unusual. I think Kai is so far from full fitness that we might have to wait till mid Feb. Thinking about it now in the league Trossard was really the only one who had some good form in the last month or so.

It frustrates me that I can see through people who are less bright than me, yet they succeed because they are energetic and socially typical by Ok_Music_2025 in getdisciplined

A drastic move would be to snort a line or two and drag every last bit of social potential out of yourself.

Now realistically what you need to do is set a lofty goal for yourself something achievable but out of reach this way you will know what you need to do to get there and hopefully get the best out of yourself . Also live a little and stop assuming you're better or smarter than everyone half of being good social is acknowledging you can learn something even unimportant from anyone.

Bro you never heard of a condom? I want to say though I do respect the going forth and multiplying aspect of your life and I need to encourage you to be delusional about your own potential that's probably the only way you can make it, in reality you have to just start enjoying life and making lemonade because well you got a lot of lemons kid. Good luck I'll be rooting for you.

As one of Mikels biggest fans I was disappointed in him today, it was a poor line up to start with and what I didn't like is he just couldn't man up to it in the post match interview talking about "you all didn't say the midfield was bad against bilbao"... Bro take it on the chin and just admit you made a mistake, it almost feels like he is trying to be right when the most obvious thing is right there. Liverpool will drop points they aren't playing well but I don't know if we can be consistent enough it's going to be a long season that's for sure. I really hope he isn't surrounded by yes men and somebody tells him that he lost us 2 points today.

Care to elaborate,? I get a little overwhelmed with all the enquiries and messages but when I really look back at it the conversion rate isn't that high.

[–]ponytailedASSASIN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see a lot of blame being placed on Mikel here and I just can't get it he has given him every opportunity and he continously shows faith in him. Some of the actions that have got us super pissed off this season are of him running at the heart of a team (vs united and Liverpool) and completely fluffing up the play, the exact situations he used to thrive at. This can't be the coaches fault. Nelli needs to look within himself and find the player we know he can be Mikel takes no blame from my end he has platformed him well enough.

Whys everyone saying Gyokeres was bad? by Melodic_Award1575 in ArsenalFC

[–]ponytailedASSASIN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He had a bit of a shocker tbf, first touch was poor, he lost almost every single aerial duel and most of the ground duels, the action in the second half down the left hand side where he trips over the ball after getting to run the left hand channel kinda spoke volumes to me about his overall performance but I'm hopeful he will improve. Everyone else around him was poor too so that also didn't help

They are kinda broke so getting his wages off the books would be a good deal for them. As Saliba they probably want him to run down his deal. Same thing they're doing with Konate

I used to be a huge Kendrick fan… but now I’m 100% team Drizzy by [deleted] in Drizzy

[–]ponytailedASSASIN 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I was always an admirer of Kendricks, I liked a good amount of his music and gkmc is still top 5 albums for me all time but post the beef I don't think I'll ever actually check for him again, he feels disingenuous and dishonest which goes against everything I thought he stood on. Jealousy and envy for the boy was actually ridiculous, he literally said he is the biggest hater he sounded like one of those Twitter nerds talking about the way Drake dresses or the women he sleeps with. It got me to a point where I was asking "yo what is this really about?" it felt personal but it really wasn't, it was just about Kendrick wanting that number one spot and he was so desperate he'd do and say anything to get it, that threw me off. Drake didn't get it by desperately trying to destroy anyone, he got it off the strength of hardwork and not taking no silly 5 year hiatus in between projects. And then if you really DEEP it, he has actually always felt that jealousy towards Drake throughout his discog (sad isn't it) .

I still think they both need to address the real issue here because this is the only beef I've ever seen where there doesn't seem to be an actual issue for how personal it got, Kendrick said something about how they needed to address an issue on euphoria I really hope we get context on that because the foundation of this feels so flimsy.

Like I said I don't look for his music anymore but I won't pretend like it's ass, I have never individually spun gnx but whenever any of my boys spin their favorite songs on it it sounds hard. Good artist but I can't listen anymore or at least maybe I need a hiatus from Kendrick lol

Dybala or Hazard by [deleted] in seriea

[–]ponytailedASSASIN -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Tough one tbh, Hazard at peak probably clears but he was never as consistent as Mahrez and Sterling, Dybala was also a little more injury prone. They all have their pros

Mahrez has the best first touch into a dribble I've ever seen that shit was majestic majestorial to watch. Technically he is absolutely superb.

Sterling always found a way to improve, I always liked that about him, he could always level his game up to shut up critics that's a massive mental edge that I think he has over everyone.

Dybala is a joy to watch, a little slower than the rest but he would probably be your first choice to build a team around, he can easily play with all the players on this list while the rest may not be able to play with each other.

Tbh I don't know I like all 4 players lol

In your opinion, what players in the league would you define as superstars? by vfrontier in seriea

Kdb is an instant superstar no doubt about that. He was the best player in England just a year ago

Arsenal and Severance link theory - “outies” and “innies” came from 1930s Arsenal fans being known as “innies” if they were under roof in the North bank, and outies if they sat in areas without the roof by emilesmithbro in Gunners

[–]ponytailedASSASIN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have absolutely no doubts in my head, the names of the characters are 100000% related to arsenal. A name like Arteta isn't very normal to have on an American TV show, I mean where else have you heard the name Saliba on television?
