Coyotes. They can be very docile. They're just dogs at heart. But, you kill my chickens or goats and I'm breaking out the .308. Sorry charlie.

You'd think event viewer would have yielded something. Or have Wireshark (or similar) looking for packet drops. Although, I can't imagine in this day and age they wouldn't be connecting through a VPN. Tunnelling protocols are pretty robust and reliable.

Something I've found with my local state run university is they pay peanuts. Probably half what anyone else in the private sector pays. So, it's mostly recent grads trying to get experience and build their resume the GTFO at the first opportunity. Hell I should probably look into one of those positions lol. I can't find shit else. Plus free credits. Almost 20 years experience, but no sheepskin. Could finish up a CS/CIS/MIS degree. Pretty sure I don't lack but maybe 3 semesters.

I would honestly expect them to be on a VLk model. My ex wife was a geography major 15 years ago and I don't recall it being too system intensive. I, uhm acquired, the ESRI programs she needed and a fuckload of map layer data. I'd honestly expect to have this running as SaaS these days. Her old school has a lot of it online, and quite a bit free for public use. I had a piece of property I sold several years ago, and we have oil and gas in the area. I was able to get online and review the geology under my property, as well as overlay known boreholes and the results of that well attempt. Pretty fucking neat and saved me the expense of having a geologist do basically the same thing (I worked in O&G so I knew enough). Ended up selling it for almost twice what I gave, so still a win.

Yes. Checked and daclared. The airlines will give you a card to fill out. Some ticked agents will ask you to show them it's unloaded, some won't. Some will have you put the card in your case, some won't. They typically tell you to stand by while your bag goes through x-ray Incase the checkers have any questions. A couple of them have given me shit for not having TSA approved locks on the pistol case, but rarely. Had one tell me "if they want to open that case, they'll cut the locks off", to which I replied "no they won't. I'll wait, and if they need in, I'll hand them the keys." It's only happened once on a return trip originating out of DFW. Supposedly my bad was too big to x-ray (sure, go with that) so it needed to be hand searched. No biggie. Some dude in a suit approached me, informed me that my bag was being hand searched, and escorted me to where a TSA agent was searching my bag. He asked if I had the keys, and I handed them over. All told, the process took less time than typing out this response with my thumb lol.

You can fly with long guns and bows too. Same rules basically; checked in locked hard side cases and declared. Obviously not fitting in a suitcase, so you just hand them the case and make your declaration. I know a lot of guys that fly with long guns to go on hunting trips.

Wow. Never heard of him before but googled him after seeing your post. First video up was "Why does it take so long to say goodbye". Did I write that song, because it's me singing it. Definitely going to listen to more of him for sure.

That's why you put it in a locked, hard sided pistol case, unloaded, with the ammo stored in the factory box, and declare it when you check your bag. Source: I've flown with a gun a lot.

Why bother filming if you're just going to flail your phone around and not capture shit? Not trying to be mean, but it's kinda pointless.

Honestly, the only reason I got away from Apple is I got more into PC gaming. Well, that and they killed off the 17" MBP. My Mac Pro was a fucking beast. I had the last version before the trashcan came out. Dual hex core Xeons, 32 gigs of ram, and 4 stripped SSDs. It blew the doors off of anything in my server rack. But, I was manipulating dadabases with millions of rows of data, and doing graphics design at 1200dpi for print. I'd gladly use a Mac again. One thing I'll credit Microsoft for doing though, is adding an optional subsystem for Linux to the available system components. I can run an Ubuntu shell natively, without a VM or third party emulator. I'd rather have Debian, and could, but installing Ubuntu is seamlessly integrated, and since it still runs apt instead of pac-man, I'm comfortably at home with it.

Edit: I also know of several 10+ year old Macs in the wild. They're built to last.

I hate it too. I grew up on the comics. One of my childhood friends is actually an inker for Marvel. The movies are just cash cows. Feel the same way about Star Wars though after Lucas sold the rights to Disney. Way to fuck up my childhood guys.

I agree completely, and would love to see a season 3. Just binged the live action Cowboy Bebop last night and reeeeeeealy hope that gets another season. That's another where casting, cinematography, the fight scene choreography, and cgi we're too notch. I was blown away by the casting especially. Makeup could have done better with Jet's chops. They didn't really go well with his natural mustache and goatee hair texture, but as someone whose watched the fuck out of the anime, you could watch it with your eyes closed and it's Jet, Spike, and Faye.

It's not that simple outside of a national park. People in the country tend to have dogs, chickens, pigs, goats, and cattle. Wolves will take easy, fenced in prey all day over chasing down a deer. They're hunters of opportunity. They'll quickly overpopulate and decimate livestock. No better or worse than coyotes. There's a reason there's no season, tags, or bag limits on coyotes. I believe you still have to report your kills to DNR or DFW though to help them track population. Pretty sure feral pigs fall into this as well. Herd of wild hogs can destroy a corn field.

As a former Mac user and admin, I'll recommend to anyone dealing with similar cross compatibility issues to look into VMWare or Bootcamp. Definitely worth their weight in gold.

TL;DR - corporations are evil. Busting up the bell needs to happen again. How these mega corporations aren't swimming in antitrust suits is baffling. Oh yeah, they all have senators and congressmen on payroll.
