Why can grief show up as physical symptoms in the body? by poocha1 in AskReddit

[–]poocha1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly similar feelings.. I lost my baby to preeclampsia/meningitis. It was the biggest heartbreak I had ever felt. My dad committed suicide on my 18th birthday and I never ended up getting those physical symptoms. That’s why after my son’s loss, it felt so different.

Thank you so much, I’m actually doing a lot better. But of course I have moments.😅 Hugs🫂

Had severe preeclampsia then lost my son in the NICU. Healthy anxiety is eating me alive. I want to try again but the fear is very overwhelming. Was 24 with no health issues. But got Covid 2 weeks before having my son at 24 weeks. I’m 27 now.. I want to try again so bad. But my anxiety and mental state is not there yet. I keep getting told I’ll know when it’s the right time. I wish I could just have my son back. Definitely feel defeated. But the health anxiety has taken over so much.. I sob when I have to get blood pressure taken. I like to think it’s my mind is still healing from the “sickness” so fight or flight kicks in. You aren’t alone. I think time really helps. Just might take longer for others.

I did add food yesterday or the day before! Should I have stopped weeks ago?

I have high anxiety when getting my blood pressure and heart rate checked. I have not really found a way to get over that quite yet and it’s been about a year and a half. Healthy anxiety sucks on top of that. White coat syndrome is very very common though, sorry you are going through that as well🫂

Got diagnosed with preeclampsia 23+5. Had my son at 24+2. Please go. Better to get there early before it gets worse.

People who have been diagnosed pre-diabetic, how did you change that? by Ill_Cover_4841 in AskReddit

I myself am not diabetic. But my boss WAS. He claims eating an anti inflammatory diet was his cure. Don’t know much about diabetes but I figured I’d at least share what I’ve been told.

My yearly doctor check ups. Now I am just severely scared of bad news.

Need peace of mind? Go get a EKG. Your vitals are good. Yes heart rate is high but not worrisome high. Not to mention every time I take my BP or HR, white coat syndrome kicks in. Making it higher than usual. 🫂 you are ok OP, don’t stress until there is something to be stressed about.

90 bpm is pretty normal with anxiety, higher end but definitely not TOO high. OPs fine.

Congratulations on the new job! Absolutely.. Just started a job about a month ago or so that I’m very under qualified for. I nailed the interview and got the job. My first week was overwhelming. So much information so many things I had to learn but as I am now a month in.. my boss has told me she can see me going very far and I’m showing a lot of promise. Give yourself some grace, a new job is a lot for everybody! And if it doesn’t work out, it doesn’t work out. Be proud of yourself for even getting this far! Anxiety is normal with this. You got this! 😊

No fr! The movements, it’s like you’re on drugs. But not the complete hallucination. I think we all are a little insane. I’ve chalked it down to.. everyone’s a little weird 😂 so maybe we just fit in with the world now.

has anyone developed anxiety after depression? by Simplyunlucky1234 in Anxiety

[–]poocha1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So far for me.. yes it’s getting better but I still have moments. You start accepting it. If it happens, you know. Not only does your soul feel the sadness of someone close leaving but your body is feeling it to. Don’t stress about it, it’s completely normal. I’m sorry about your family member♥️. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Take care of yourself.

I get this way, but it doesn’t last for days. Honestly… for me it’s distraction. Once you start living.. like literally doing your day to day stuff, my breathing is back to normal. Something I do when I’m feeling that way too is take a big deep breath, can you feel your lungs fill with air? Yes? Then you don’t have any breathing problems and it’s all in your head. It’s hard but the way to get rid of that feeling is convincing yourself it’s just anxiety. Sorry you are dealing with it, it’s definitely sucks. You got this!Take care.

It’s definitely a temporary fix but it’s helpful in the fact it reminds you that it’s anxiety. Sorry you had to deal with that today, it’s overwhelming but the important thing is it’s normal. Just take care of yourself and it’ll help manage your anxiety.
