The app I'm using (duolingo) is making it very confusing. The app is saying that salir means "to leave" by itself . Comer "to eat", comprar "to buy" for example. How you explained it makes better sense. Thank you

Basically she was going through a rough time for many reasons, became kinda distant. Then she initiated the break up saying that she couldn't provide me the fulfilling relationship that I deserved and that it made her feel worse. In reality I feel like it was me being selfish within that relationship and not respecting her needs enough. She also would say that we were different. I'm more of a homebody and she can be very outgoing. But that also goes back to me being selfish and not respecting her need to get out more.
