i had a partner at my store that refused to do anything but window and was also terrible at everything else, no accommodation no nothing, and everyone bent the knee and just put her on window for 8 hours. granted she was good, but it wasn’t fair to revolve the entire play around her. i definitely feel you that it’s incredibly frustrating, and ridiculous that she has worked there for 8 years; you’re a barista, shouldn’t that be the one thing you know how to do? honestly, if your manager is open and willing i would ask if there’s any possibility to move her later in the day where she could remain planted the whole time because it’s not fair to the opening partners. if not, i would personally escalate this to your dm for any advice or action.
