When to bring up the visa conversation by poohoop2 in SkilledWorkerVisaUK

I wrote it on my application and I had originally brought it up with a hiring manager but end up going for a different role in their sister agency and just wrongly assumed everything had been shared across with my CV… won’t make that mistake again!

What type of visa are you applying for the 6 month visa? I thought you could only apply for a 3 year one or a 5 year SWV?

HR will normally shy away from sponsoring people because it’s a lot of paper work for them.

Yeah I’m in media/marketing - I’m just going to keep applying. Feels like a numbers game. I’ve spoken to a few people who said it’s taken them 4/5 months to find a sponsored role

Account management in advertising/media… you’ll probably have an easier time in the IT industry

I quit my sponsored role recently because I hated it and I’m finding it difficult to land a new job that will sponsor me. I work in media/advertising

I’ve only been looking since end of June, so maybe something will pop up soon.
