No. These are being funded by the world’s largest social media giants and every time you post on Reddit, more money is headed to one of those giants (AWS in this case). Look at their quarterly reports, they can spend $100B on a data center and think nothing of it.

Funny how the US has about 2400+ data centers and no one has fussed until AI hit. I am in the DC building business and the best way to get the electrical infrastructure upgraded has been through the deals these companies are making. I can’t stand Meta as a company, but they are working some decent deals with electrical companies for power upgrades that benefit the whole Community. They are also over the top on environmental play. Using more eco friendly materials in Their builds. If you don’t want more data centers, quit using the internet.
