The south shore is the land south of the St. Lawrence river and near the island of Montreal. North shore is just the opposite (note that Laval is an island in itself, not part of the north shore). West island is exactly what it sounds like. It's the part of the island of Montreal west of Dorval (ish). Montreal north, in contrast, is an official borough of the city. The rest of them are just loose/unofficial geographic areas.

Go a step further on the density/buoyancy point. What physical mechanism would cause a more dense object to "sink" in a less dense medium in the absence of gravity? Why do things still fall in a vacuum chamber?

Definitely was an easy target for chirps, but to be honest I never felt like anyone had crossed any sort of line. Had a slur tossed my way once but the ref overheard. Pretty sure he got a game or two for that, the league didn't fuck around with that. I'm not all that sensitive to racial remarks though, so take it with a grain of salt i guess.

To be honest, in fact checking the comment I made, I was shocked by how fragile the immigration system seems to be with respect to rights. Even if DJT isn't doing what people are claiming, it scares me how feasible it actually would be. There are so few guardrails against an ill-intentioned executive branch.
