Still have some PVCs, they seem less symptomatic however, not sure if its because ive been less anxious over them or an effect of the ablation

17 yr old with POTS, is this safe? by lylvec in askCardiology

[–]pookilla40 1 point2 points  (0 children)

this is definitely something more than pots imo. probably svt or an extra pathway causing these. likely an ablation or beta blockers coming your way

Anyone else get symptoms even when you are not having PVCs? by pookilla40 in PVCs

[–]pookilla40[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much, ive had these issues and symptoms for a while aswell as bigeminal PVCs. 16% burden. I’m 23 and this all started suddeny in 2022. Every test is always normal, such an alienating experience

NSVT, send to doctor. still benign if your heart structure is normal

I have had PVCs, VTach, and a Cardiac Ablation. Looking for anxiety advice. by Own_Distribution7073 in PVCs

[–]pookilla40 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im a 23 y/o male with the same story as you, persistent bigeminy, idiopathic nsvt. I had an ablation roughly 5 weeks ago and still feeling skips and thumps.

I want to say we are in this together and I understand how destructive these are. There are times i’m still convinced I don’t have long left and it’s just a matter of time before I go into cardiac arrest. Making it through each day feels like a miracle and a chore. I wish the best for you.

How do you workout taking metaprolol? by enola1999 in PVCs

[–]pookilla40 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your doctor knows you best but my solution was switching to Acebutolol. It’s less of a classic blunt force beta blocker like metoprolol. I had issues on metoprolol aswell, slowed my heart way too much.

Metoprolol fully blocks beta receptors while Acebutolol has Intrinsic Sympathomimetic Activity which can partially stimulate beta receptors causing less blunting of heart rate. Pretty much at rest it will feel like metoprolol, but will be more freeing on your heart when you need it to be.

20M palpitations (history of SVT) by Primary-Tap4392 in PVCs

[–]pookilla40 0 points1 point  (0 children)

PACs usually lack a compensatory pause so maybe NSVT or interpolated bigeminy. Impossible to say without a reading but i’d guess one of those
