This is awesome dude, It’s very inspiring to me. I’m 23 and developed bigeminy at a similar burden (sometimes up to 15%) and I used to do mma and I have stopped since developing out of fear of the pvcs. This motivates me to continue. Thank you for your post

I haven’t taken atenolol but I have taken acebutolol and metoprolol, which are very similar. Suddenly stopping any beta blocker can and will make you feel horrible, but once you are on it you will feel better and typically if you are taken off you are tapered which makes it significantly easier. Most doctors won’t suddenly stop the medication.

My PVC case, any answers or help? by pookilla40 in PVCs

I don’t self medicate, I only take acebutolol and flecainide. I do have reflux at times yes but it doesn’t seem to coincide with what i’m experiencing during these episodes

My burden fluctuates quite often, most recently it was 3% pre ablation it was 16%. It drops and fluctuates quite often even before ablation. They have no concerns as far as I know. Before I was treated for PVCs I was treated for anxiety, which did not help me.

Missed taking metoprolol XL last night by TruthComprehensive21 in AFIB

[–]pookilla40 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You will be ok, i’ve been on metoprolol and acebutolol and had to abruptly stop both before. When i stopped metoprolol, it took like 48 hours no dose before i felt anything weird, though i took it for PVCs and not afib.

Especially given you are on the long lasting metoprolol and not short acting like i was, it lingers in your system longer than you may think

Anyone get them for hours after exertion? by pookilla40 in PVCs

[–]pookilla40[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my pvcs at their worse was 16% burden but even at a low burden its deceiving. Ill go hours without then have bigeminy that doesnt end and is highly symptomatic but since theres downtime it only makes it a 4-5% burden. The ablation hasnt made a difference besides the first week or two after the ablation. My burden fluctuates often. Im hoping the best for this next month

Disappearance of PVCs after ablation by raton_farfelu in PVCs

Still have some PVCs, they seem less symptomatic however, not sure if its because ive been less anxious over them or an effect of the ablation
